As we reported recently, Judd Legum had a fit when his “100% ACCURATE TWEET” about violent crime being down 7 percent in 2022 was hit with a Community Note that added that homicides are up 31 percent.
3. The "Community Note" suggests my tweet is misleading because "The 'down 7%' figure for violent crime is dependent on whether larceny crimes are classified as robbery, burglary, or theft."

According to a new poll, Washingtonians feel safer in their homes than they did this time last year.
Crime? What crime?

"What crime?" 🤣

I lived in the DC area for over 10 years. Both of my coworkers who lived in Columbia Heights were mugged within months of each other, and a third coworker was shot at the corner of 1st and P St.
Nobody in DC says "What crime?" It's a constant there.

🤣🤣 Obviously, this poll is what would be called an "outlier" and should be tossed. Sounds to me like quite a few of those 556 respondents may have had a political motivation for giving such a silly answer

Well if the Washington Post says.

There is a 32 percent increase in homicides from last year, along with a 109 percent increase in car thefts, even as other categories of violent crime have fallen. https://t.co/o4STihb3en

Yes, but those are statistics. We’re talking about how people feel.
