Philadelphia mayor declares that 'if you don't back gun control,' you don't back the blue

Here’s a really tone-deaf statement at a really inappropriate time. Miles Pfeffer, 18, is accused of killing Temple University Police Officer Christopher Fitzgerald in North Philadelphia Saturday night. After allegedly shooting Fitzgerald several times, Pfeffer carjacked a driver at gunpoint and crashed the vehicle into another car. “Police said that Pfeffer’s mom then picked him up nearby at 29th Street and Ridge Avenue. The mom then drove her son back to their home in Bucks County.”

His mom picked him up and drove him home?

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney held a press conference where he said you don’t back the blue if you don’t back gun control and “gun availability.”
