Gov. Katie Hobbs says she'll continue busing migrants out of state to their final destination

When Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis flew around 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard last year, he was accused of kidnapping and human trafficking. The people of Martha’s Vineyard made a good show of it, allowing the migrants to stay almost 48 hours before having them bused to a nearby military base where they belonged.

Former Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has a program of busing migrants out of state, and now Gov. Katie Hobbs says she’ll continue the program, but it will be different. Rather than just dump them in sanctuary cities like Washington, D.C. and New York City, Arizona will do its best to help each and every migrant reach their final destination — whichever city they’d like to be in. That’s how it’s different.

“If we’re spending money to bus people, why not just get them to their final destination?” she asked at a press conference Friday.

Yes, because she’s going to send them wherever they want to go.

We were informed that those migrants being bused to Washington and New York wanted to go and voluntarily got on those buses. Same with the flights to Martha’s Vineyard … Boston had promised migrants good-paying jobs, and word got around.
