Our own PolitiBunny is working on a post right now about Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake going off in a righteous rant about the problems they’re having with tabulation machines there. As Harmeet Dhillon reported this morning, about 20 percent of the tabulation machines aren’t working, and voters could either wait for them to be fixed, vote at another location, or leave their ballot in a lock box and have it counted later as if it were a mail-in ballot.
We thought we’d give you the official word from the Maricopa County Election Department, which put together a video this morning explaining just what the problem is and how they’re working to fix it.

How in the hell can 1/5 of vote tabulating machines in the biggest county in the state stop working on Election Day?
— Tom Bevan (@TomBevanRCP) November 8, 2022
Katie Hobbs in charge of running the election in Arizona today while on the ballot for governor and 20% of the voting machines in Maricopa, the state's largest county, are not working. I'm starting to think @KariLake may have a point about the problems with our elections.

Win or lose, Katie Hobbs has a LOT to answer for with all these broken-down machines in Arizona.

Report directly to jail.

So Katie Hobbs didn't ensure that all Arizona counties were ready to go with reliable equipment? What has she been doing in her job which is to oversee elections?
— Real Man of Genius (@realmanofgenius) November 8, 2022
She’s been hiding from reporters and refusing to debate.
Real reassuring stuff here 🙄

How the hell does your county have issues in every election. You all need to be fired and the Florida model adopted.
— Ray2Daye (@RAY2DAYE) November 8, 2022
Yeah that seems legitimate, “drop it in a box and we’ll count tonight” sounds really reassuring…

How can you act like this isn’t a big deal? 20%? This is unacceptable.

Here’s video from Arizona. The first shot is how voting machines operate when Democrats vote.
The second shot is how voting machines operate when Republicans vote.

You’re an Arizona citizen. You leave work for a minute to vote during your lunch break. You’re told to go somewhere else. Machines broken there too. Lunch break is over. Fewer workers get to vote.

Paper ballots. The Occam’s Razor solution to the election issues we’re having.
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) November 8, 2022
Don't be so smug. Things aren't "going great." The nervous dude on the right gives it away.
Fully 20% of your locations—as you admit in this video—aren't working! How can you claim that's "going great."
— pete bray (@petebray) November 8, 2022
Only one-fifth of the tabulators aren’t working … that’s not a big deal.

Update:
They claim to have solved the problem:
BREAKING: Maricopa County says that they have “identified the solution” for tabulator issues.
