We have sort of a crush on J.K. Rowling after seeing the way she refused to be “canceled” after coming out as a TERF, or trans-exclusionary radical feminist. She wished nothing but the best for the trans community but insisted that … gasp! … women are women.
Now Rowling is getting involved in a controversy over the British children’s charity Mermaids. Someone calls Mermaids “the new Savile,” which refers to presenter Jimmy Savile, who after his death was found to have sexually abused literally hundreds of people.
Our story begins here:
A children’s charity has a secret trustee who has written of his excitement that being sexually attracted to children is emerging as a sexual and political identity. The charity, Mermaids, is supported by the National Lottery.

Mermaids is gonna be the new Savile. So many celebs will be wishing they had steered clear of them.

We've now learned that Mermaids appointed a paedophilia apologist as Trustee and that their online moderator encouraged kids to move onto a platform notorious for sexual exploitation. This is a charity that's achieved unprecedented influence in the UK. 2/5 https://t.co/7guDJYAalJ

You mean MAPs … Minor-Attracted Persons. That’s what they call it now, to destigmatize it.
They couldn't have achieved it without the money and public support of certain corporations and celebrities, who eagerly boosted them even though the red flags have been there for years. Mermaids' fingers were all over the Tavistock Gender Identity Clinic debacle. 3/5

The Tavistock Gender Identity Clinic shut down this summer, “with a number of former staff going public to raise concerns about the ‘overdiagnosing’ of gender dysphoria, the consequences of early medical interventions and the significant increase in referrals of girls questioning their gender identity,” reported The Guardian.
They've been allowed into classrooms, trained police and had unprecedented influence over health policy, even though by their own admission they aren't a medical charity. We've also found out they're sending devices to flatten breasts to underage girls w/o parental consent. 4/5

Someone really needs to take legal action against JK Rowling. This is off the scale. The GC tactic seems to be to drown the trans charity Mermaids in a tsunami of innuendo and lies – throw a stack of mud, some of it will stick. https://t.co/RlcbC2atg8

India, I swear to God, if you want to start a petition for Mermaids to take me on in court, the first signature will be mine. https://t.co/1HZ6BbCX55

Damn, Rowling doesn’t play.
Feeling your rage and sharing it sister
I’ll be camped at the court if that happens – with a legion of other women
The shiftiness and slipperiness is something to behold – they’ve been courting a paeodophole apologist yet still don’t accept responsibility. Beyond contempt

Legal action is working out well for Mermaids. 🤣

You would make more from crowdfunding this than you have from your books. 🤣
I'd book off work to watch the trial.— Paul Russell (@Rustyspurs79) October 5, 2022
