There are fun games we conservatives like to play on Twitter, like piling on a news story or headline that contains the words, “Republicans pounce.” Another good one is tweeting “The walls are closing in!” whenever there’s some new breathless scoop about Donald Trump. Trump deplanes in D.C. wearing golf cleats … the walls are closing in! For lefties, it gives them the same dopamine rush that tweeting “It’s Mueller Time!” used to.
Andrew Weissmann, a former top prosecutor in the Mueller investigation, didn’t give any specifics, but he did tweet that, for the first time in his long life of crime, Trump is feeling the walls of justice closing in.
For the first time, in a long life of being unaccountable to the civil and criminal rules of society, Donald Trump is feeling what it’s like to have the walls of justice closing in.
Its about time. And it’s only going to get more satisfying.— Andrew Weissmann 🌻 (@AWeissmann_) September 15, 2022
Weissmann and Rob Reiner should have a sleepover or something.
Yawn 🥱

Former top prosecutor in Mueller investigation. Failed to establish conspiracy or coordination between Trump campaign and Russia. Did not conclude that Trump obstructed investigation of crime prosecutors could not establish had occurred. Clearly still yearning for conviction. https://t.co/fF25NcaqJ4

You consider yourself the neutral detached DOJ representative who should have had decision-making responsibility in the Mueller SCO?
Sounds like you had some pre-determined views about Trump's "long life" before you took on that position.
THAT is what is wrong with DOJ today. https://t.co/C9PcLiLH6q

It's so funny to think back to 2017 when the mainstream media insisted that this guy and others on the Mueller team were serious, sober, apolitical professionals. https://t.co/aJTyB4u6tq
