How lucky are we that we don’t have to buy an issue of Vogue to see the glamor shots of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson because Annie Leibovitz posted them on Twitter? We haven’t seen anything so breathtaking since Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and first lady Olena Zelenska took some time out of their busy schedule to pose for Vogue. And, of course, Vogue broke its four-year hiatus in putting first ladies on the cover with its fawning portrait of Dr. Jill Biden.

A lot of people are saying the images have brought tears to their eyes, although there’s a vocal minority begging Vogue to stop using Leibovitz to photograph black skin.
