Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, following the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, called on President Biden to make the “babiest of the babiest of baby steps” and open abortion clinics on federal land in red states right now. There’s that pesky Hyde amendment to get around, but what sounds better than visiting a national park and getting an abortion? HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said his department is “continuing to explore” ways to make sure American birthing people have access to abortion.
