WaPo reports that January 6 committee aides 'sought to temper expectations of any shocking revelations'

Hold up … we thought the whole idea of this show trial was to wow the American people. They hired a veteran TV producer to make sure they had a compelling multimedia presentation. Rep. Jamie Raskin teased that they had more evidence on former President Donald Trump than just “incitement.” We were promised never-before-seen footage. Democrats are setting up watch parties for this thing.

The Washington Post, however, reports that aides to the January 6 select committee “sought to temper expectations” Thursday. Don’t expect any “shocking revelations” … this is more like a prosecutor’s opening argument.
