WHAT? Former DHS official wants Biden to suspend immigration enforcement in wake of school shooting

There are already the predictable calls for “commonsense” gun control after an 18-year-old shot and killed 14 elementary school students and a teacher in Uvalde, Texas Tuesday afternoon. Of course, the cable news channels have scrambled to bring in panelists for their hot takes, and CNN has turned to Juliette Kayyem, former assistant secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Her advice to the Biden administration in the wake of the shooting? Suspend all immigration enforcement in the community. Why? Because people shouldn’t be in hiding now … they should be with their kids.
