So the theory on the table is that had the events of January 6 succeeded, Russian president Vladimir Putin would have been “massively emboldened” to invade Ukraine. MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace obviously agrees, saying that the Capitol riots made everything about invading Ukraine easier for Putin. Funny, though, how Putin invaded Ukraine under President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden but not under President Donald Trump. So what emboldened Putin when Obama was in the White House? The refusal to send lethal aid to Ukraine?

Actually, Nicolle, it was January 20th that made Putin's life a whole hell of a lot easier.

Tweet of the day.
Lol. Biden made it possible and nothing else. Did they get this stupid talking point directly from the White House?

At least they finally mentioned Ashley Babbit. I guessing the few people that watch this program have no idea who she is.

No it was Biden saying he was ok with a minor incursion into Ukraine
— David Carmichael (@Davidcar1967) May 9, 2022
Yeah, Biden’s line about a “minor incursion” by Russia being OK probably gave Putin some confidence.
A Ukrainian official told CNN's Matthew Chance that he is "shocked that the US President Biden would distinguish between incursion and invasion."
"This gives the green light to Putin to enter Ukraine at his pleasure," the official said. "Kyiv is stunned."https://t.co/zj22MovJp4
