So far we’ve heard Ronald Reagan invoked in response to President Joe Biden’s speech in Poland by at least three journalists: CBS News’ Mark Knoller, the Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin, and now MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski. We need to insert a quick reality check:
Biden is ad libbing emotional grandpa material and it's an incredibly bad time for him to be doing that and people acting like everyone is being unfair and he's super clear and unambiguous all the time is insulting brain worm stuff. He is TERRIBLE at this.

We sort of agree with Brzezinski on one point: that Biden is keeping people guessing. The problem is the people he keeps guessing are the United States military and our NATO allies. If Vladimir Putin uses chemical weapons, will the U.S. respond in kind? Is the 82nd Airborne Division being deployed to Ukraine? And are we calling for regime change in Russia? Biden seems to keep committing us to World War III every time he goes off the teleprompter.

Reagan wasn't keeping anyone guessing. He actually wanted the wall torn down and had been signing treaties and improving relations for years. It was a suggestion of a good next step.
