Steve Schmidt says the American far right is connected to the fascist siege of Ottawa by extremists

A lot of Americans are concerned about what’s happening in Canada, one of the most important countries in the world according to Lincoln Project co-founder Steve Schmidt. Schmidt’s former group brought tiki torches to a Glenn Youngkin campaign stop, so they know all about hate symbols. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has gone into hiding after dismissing the anti-mandate protests as a hotbed of antisemitism, Islamophobia, anti-Black racism, homophobia, and transphobia — he’s obviously not going to negotiate in good faith with the “small, fringe minority” that holds “unacceptable views.”
