Brian Stelter’s job during this whole Chris Cuomo mess seems to be tweeting press releases, first from CNN and now from the newly terminated Cuomo. Cuomo expresses his pride at being CNN’s No. 1 show, even if that still meant it fell behind every offering from Fox News and MSNBC. He claims he’s already told us why and how he helped his brother, but as CNN’s statement read, an investigation by a legal firm turned up new information.
Chris Cuomo statement: "This is not how I want my time at CNN to end but I have already told you why and how I helped my brother. So let me now say as disappointing as this is, I could not be more proud of the team at Cuomo Prime Time and the work we did as CNN's #1 show…" (1/2)

"…in the most competitive time slot. I owe them all and will miss that group of special people who did really important work." (2/2)

You have some nerve getting incredulous in my replies when this is literally what you do every time, you abject potato. https://t.co/UdpHo2bku9

If only CNN had been able to unearth information

What’s the “additional information”, Brian? https://t.co/C32jdPLDY9

Cuomo's acting like he got fired for helping his brother when the CNN statement says other information came to light. https://t.co/dgKG0yq9UG

Dear @ChrisCuomo:
Have you been accused of workplace sexual abuse at @CNN? https://t.co/Ep8pbVPF9x

Where do I place my $5 bet that this is ultimately NOT about Chris Cuomo helping his brother? The rumor right now is Chris has his own sexual harassment allegations. I'll buy that, or something else, not buying it was because he "helped" Andrew. https://t.co/ncJHo1V2ou

Just like his brother who was not fired for the criminality of his COVID nursing homes deaths and lies on official reporting documents.

CNN wants this to go away. It's not going away.

Can we examine what 'helping his brother' amounted to? He was helping him to spin and dodge sexual harassment allegations.

“I have a lead on the wedding girl”
Enough said— anonymousinco (@jhubluejays16) December 4, 2021
Yeah, he lied about how he helped his brother. And he helped his brother smear the women who accused him of sexual harassment. Imagine what you'd be saying right now if he worked for Fox News, Brian. https://t.co/7DC0qx0JLR

Maybe him and his brother could learn to code😂

Chris Cuomo violated the SPJ codes of ethics to protect his brother who was the former Governor of New York. The whole family first defense doesn’t work in this situation.

The self righteous always fall by the deeds of their own…this is the perfect outcome.

So…. no apology then.

Zero remorse. This is classic narcissism. Horrific. #BelieveSurvivors and when will THEY get the airtime the #Cuomo criminals have had for years?

This additional information must be something for the network to terminate him immediately. Did he do more than just “help” his brother?
Here’s Jim Acosta breaking the news:
#BREAKING: I am not making this up — Jim Acosta was on the air when CNN announced that they fired Chris Cuomo, leaving him to break the news to viewers alongside Brian Stelter
