Hot take: Actors who are fully 'in-character' as a villain shouldn't be the last to check if a gun is loaded

Here’s a take on gun safety on film sets that we weren’t sure if it was a parody or if we were just interpreting it incorrectly. Jumping off of an AP Entertainment tweet in which Lady Gaga stayed in character for “House of Gucci,” Geoff Pilkington seems to be suggesting that it would be dangerous to have an actor who is fully in character as a villain be the last to check if a gun is loaded. Is that what he’s getting at?
