Hot take: White women vote to protect their white sons, and that's it

The blue-checks in the media have been giving us plenty of hot takes after Republicans swept Virginia Tuesday night, but 90 percent of them seem to come down to racism, white supremacy, “whiteness” — whatever you want to call it. Even the fact they voted for a black lieutenant governor and a Latino attorney general is no evidence whatsoever that white supremacy won the night. Not to mention the racist dog-whistling about critical race theory, which isn’t real, but which liberal TV pundits defend whenever the subject comes up.

We thought we’d leave the blue-check zone for a bit and check in with Morgan Kilday, who’s getting a lot of her traction for this hot take:

Nobody’s mad.

Can’t imagine why suburban moms who voted for Biden turned around a year later and elected a Republican governor.
