As Twitchy reported earlier this week, the Washington Post announced it was asking every Republican member of Congress three questions that nobody remembers them asking Democrats in 2016 (or in 2018 after Stacey Abrams refused to concede).
The Post is asking every Republican member of Congress the same three questions today. We will report back their answers.
The questions are: pic.twitter.com/P1ptrZU4cr

The narrative that’s going around is that Republicans are cowards for not acknowledging Joe Biden’s victory, but the real story is that 222 congressional Republicans refused to play along with the Washington Post’s game and gave no answer.

222 cowards. That's today's GOP. Pathetic, sociopathic cowards willing to flip the country into fascism and destroy the America my dad went to WWII to defend, just to hang onto their own privilege and power (and the access to cash their position brings).https://t.co/DCyjKwE63J

Byron York has an alternate headline:
Alternate headline: Just 2 (out of 249) Hill Republicans say Trump won election. Just 8 (out of 249) support Trump continuing election contests. Would have been interesting to survey House Dems on similar questions at this point in 2016.https://t.co/zIJVAmNAkp

But 2016 was different!
It was only four years ago, Byron. We were there. We remember how it went down. Hillary conceded almost immediately, and the Democratic members of Congress acknowledged the outcome. So knock it off with this weak-ass gaslighting attempt.

“Almost immediately.” And what was that third question? The one about accepting the winner as the legitimate president?
We also remember “hashtag resistance” and the efforts to armtwist the Electoral College into voting for Hillary. Spare us the bullshit.

I remember Martin Sheen and other entertainers trying to convince electors not elect Trump
— Fritz Kay (@FritzKay3) December 5, 2020
I also remember this…https://t.co/1j381jIcBy
Oh, and the media talking about impeachment an hour after inauguration.
Oh, and throughout all four years reps and senators calling Trump an illegitimate President. Just like Hillary did. She also repeatedly said she won.
— ?♀️?♀️?♀️ (@Logicrulesreaso) December 5, 2020
There were calls for impeachment the day after the election.
Congressional Democrats openly and vocally boycotted the inauguration.
Democrats went after Trump personally, every day.
You’ll be f’ing lucky if we just *ignore* Biden & Democrats.— WMcCormick (@WEMcCormick) December 5, 2020
Hillary wouldn’t even come out on the night of the election because she was in a drunken rage. WP was talking about impeachment before Inauguration Day. And we watched MSM treat the office of the presidency with pathetic disrespect. Spare me your distorted view of acceptance.
— Smiles (@smiles1965) December 5, 2020
It was just this October when Hillary Clinton said she was “the candidate that they basically stole an election from.” October 2020.
I remember D’s boycotting the inauguration, Maxine Waters telling us to harass Trump supporters in public, phony impeachment, illegal FISA warrants, constant lies about Trump, constant bad press. So there’s that.
— Ellen (@lmnopual) December 5, 2020
funny but libs throwing a 24/7 tantrum "he's not my President" for four years is hardly conceding. Hillary has never stopped whining and insisting she should have won.
— Paula83860 (@Paula_83860) December 5, 2020
Oh, spare us your noble acceptance! We’ve listened to screaming, crying, stomping of feet, “I’ve thought an awful lot about blowing *p the Whitehouse”, “impeach 45”, “get in their faces”, “defund the police”, I mean, the list goes on forever! For four years it has never stopped.
— Tamera (@gmaTammy2010) December 5, 2020
Bullshit. Dems claimed Trump was illegitimate for years and demanded nonsensical investigations to justify their delusions of Russian interference, just so they wouldn’t have to accept responsibility for actually losing. Give me a break
— DEMS STOLE THE ELECTION ????? (@STP48315) December 5, 2020
It's ok. You're not the only idiot out there lying and trying to hide the truth. Hillary wrote a book about how it was stolen from her. FBI was trying to change the election. Dems spent 4 years calling Trump illegitimate.
— Rod Sader (@rod_sader) December 5, 2020
Bullshit…they fought up until the last minute…even tried to get electors to switch votes…about 60 boycotted the inauguration!https://t.co/Ny74XqcfB8

Of course she conceded. If the election results were investigated back then, they would have discovered the Democrat cheating then and would have ruined their cheating for this election.

You forgot (intentionally?) certain House Democrats trying to block certification of the 2016 Electoral College votes.

York didn’t forget: He wrote about it in his book, “Obsession: Inside the Washington Establishment’s Never-Ending War on Trump.”
On 1/6/17, Congress met to certify Electoral College results. Some House Democrats tried to stop proceedings; protested results in several states. Had to convince a senator to agree to proceed; none did. Presided over by Joe Biden. Described in OBSESSION. https://t.co/1PDrig1Y6g pic.twitter.com/6OoLorSbke
— Byron York (@ByronYork) December 5, 2020
Your comments are risible. And revisionist history. Dems fought all hands on deck to turn the electoral college.
Nothing but woke rage for 4 years
Gaslighting. My ass.— Tertium Quid (@TertiumQuid3) December 5, 2020
So, you must not have lived during that time. Or were you just stoned?
— icaredou (@GPN48236) December 5, 2020
I remember almost a hundred Dems skipping the inauguration because he was an "illegitimate president". Hillary, a few days after conceding, then said she would be supporting "the resistance". #NotMyPresident #Resist remember those?
— Kelly (@realKellvis) December 5, 2020
Hey muppet…Do Barbara Lee, Maxine Waters, and others who stood up to try to deny the certification in the Senate ring a bell. Educate yourself. Do your worst.

Again, congrats to the Republican members of Congress who refused to play the WaPo’s game. Don’t feed the trolls.
All of them acknowledged that the media is a steamin' pile of shit. https://t.co/QO3qhtAWhK
