The American Civil Liberties Union really gets excited over days we’ve never seen on the calendar. The organization introduced us in 2018 to International Pronouns Day and posted pictures of staffers holding up signs with their preferred pronouns.
Apparently there’s also an International Men’s Day, which sounds nice, but so-called cisgender men don’t seem to be getting any praise or gift ties. Instead, the ACLU is observing International Men’s Day by reminding us that men who get their periods and get pregnant are men.
There’s no one way to be a man.
Men who get their periods are men.
Men who get pregnant and give birth are men.
Trans and non-binary men belong.#InternationalMensDay

OK, trans men and nonbinary men are welcome to celebrate, but we didn’t have anything planned. What is the world doing for International Men’s Day anyway?

Way to take Men's Day and make it divisive.

science called, they want their legitimacy back.
— PINK HEDONIST (@pinkhedonist) November 19, 2019
There actually is one way to be a man.
Have an X and a Y chromosome.
Science!

If you get a period or get pregnant you can’t be a man. Stop cheapening women and how important they are in society.

Crazy to me how the VERY definitions that have been used since the beginning of time are now challenged by a small group and if you don’t fall in line, you must be a hater. Definition of man = period not possible, due to incorrect equipment.

No man gets a period. Period.
No man gets pregnant. Period. #GenderInsanity

I am genuinely confused by this and I am not a bigot. I get gender ID vs sex. I get that biological sex isn't gender. Do biological definitions no longer have meaning? You can just say you are whatever you wish now regardless of it's accuracy and society is cool?

Stop trying to hijack a day that's supposed to recognize men, their achievements, their struggles and all the good they put out into the world.
Give the PC bullshit a rest, thanks.

Appreciate half of the species on their day❌
Make this day all about some extremely tiny fraction of population yet again✔

Remember when you used to be a civil rights organization instead of a group of deranged SJW nutjobs?
— Dave (@heyyoudvd) November 19, 2019
Really, what are we doing for International Men’s Day anyway? Man stuff?
