CNN, which is literally sitting around 15th in the cable television ratings, seems to think a town hall with every person alive is going to bring back their audience. The town halls with presidential candidates might yield something useful (or something the candidate will have to walk back the next day — looking at you, Kamala Harris).
But on Thursday night, CNN decided to air a town hall with former FBI director James Comey, who is best known now for posting pictures of trees and adding cryptic “Deep Thoughts with Jack Handy” captions to them, though he did go through a period right after he was fired where he posted a lot of pictures of the back of his head.
CNN themselves tweeted out this exchange, which shows … nothing. Strong choice.
Anderson Cooper: "Do you think the Russians have leverage over President Trump?"
Former FBI Director James Comey: "I don't know the answer to that."
Cooper: "Do you think it's possible?"
Comey: "Yes."#ComeyTownHall https://t.co/bp6skpgRMz pic.twitter.com/Zfx67blVWJ

Q: Do you think this ? is an apple?
A: I don’t know the answer to that.
Q: Do you think this ? could be an apple?
A: YesGreat work, CNN! Another Cronkite award in the making.

Cooper: Are you going to win the lottery?
Comey: I don't know how to answer that?
Cooper: Do you think it's possible?
Comey: Yes
Conclusion: What good questions to ask.

Is it ‘possible’ Anderson Cooper is a journalist. Not likely but Possible.
— Bobby G (@gilbert458) May 10, 2019
Hilarious. That’s like asking someone’s opinion on if the world will end tomorrow and they say I don’t know. Then you ask if it’s possible and they say yes. Is CNN that stupid or do you just think Americans are? Well we are not, and that’s not news. That’s lying Comey’s opinion.

It’s also “possible” Comey has a vagina, anything is possible in the US. Nice wide open ended question by CNN

"Possibilities" are news in 2019.. How we have regressed.. ?

This is just gross negligence at this point. Nothing more than speculation.

He’s lying. He sat a the Dossier for months without trying to verify it. He knew this was a political hit job all along.

It's even more likely that Russia exerted leverage over Comey and he either won't admit it or refuses to admit it. https://t.co/U2dGiCsGwl

The network that considers @MichaelAvenatti a credible legal expert is now hawking a disgraced lawman as the authority on morality and national security.
