Never mind what led up to Media Matters editor-at-large Parker Molloy jumping into this thread; it’s not relevant to anything she’s saying here, which isn’t a surprise. Federalist contributor Chad Felix Greene was making a point about the separation of church and state that apparently triggered Molloy:
I respect your religious beliefs, but I do not choose to embrace them and in my country the government cannot impose religious law onto the nation. https://t.co/xjU5adxkao
— Chad Felix Greene (@chadfelixg) April 20, 2019
Dude, you work at The Federalist, which is pretty much the most pro-theocracy website in the country https://t.co/TNjv1pv41T

“In my country the government cannot impose religious law onto the nation”
I agree. Now go tell your bosses that, resident token
— Parker Molloy (@ParkerMolloy) April 20, 2019
Seriously, whenever someone shows concerns about whether a judicial nominee gets asked about whether they’ll base their rulings on their own religious beliefs (instead of based on what the law is), the Federalist goes into full meltdown
— Parker Molloy (@ParkerMolloy) April 20, 2019
The Federalist is a shitty religious fanaticism site. For one of their writers to act like his work isn’t contributing to this nutty push for theocracy is laughable pic.twitter.com/6ymxG4Xafw
— Parker Molloy (@ParkerMolloy) April 20, 2019
lol. i'm an atheist. the piece she links to (attacking @chadfelixg) is about judging people on their faith. so yea, total "theocracy!"
— David Harsanyi (@davidharsanyi) April 21, 2019
The truth is irrelevant to Media Matters. That’s what comes from getting started by someone (Brock) who lies for a living.

“Resident token?” Really? Well, yeah, this is Media Matters we’re talking about.
My boss and I are both Jewish.
And unlike you, apparently, respects me as a person rather than limiting me as a gay man. ?☕ https://t.co/B21LYZUUag

Who publishes a gay Jew married to an Atheist. ? https://t.co/z3pwGcxKYF
— Chad Felix Greene (@chadfelixg) April 21, 2019
You seem to be limiting yourself by remarkably ignorant prejudice and justifying it with deeply held hatred and bigotry.
I would recommend reading the views of people you arrogantly dismiss as 'tokens' and perhaps open your mind to intellectual diversity. https://t.co/z3pwGcxKYF
— Chad Felix Greene (@chadfelixg) April 21, 2019
I realize they don't have high standards, but how is it acceptable for @mmfa 's editor at large, @parkermolloy, to refer to a gay Jewish writer @chadfelixg as a "token"?
Why do other outlets/reporters continue to treat these smear merchants like a legitimate source? pic.twitter.com/masMdF4QJx

Her thread is so unbelievably uncalled for. Chad was merely remarking that Megan Romer was making a purely moral/semi-religious assertion. For her to then go there with it is truly gross

Another example in which language that is otherwise unacceptable is magically okay when aimed at a conservative. https://t.co/a0wCHD5qHZ

Gross

She's disgusting.

So much for engaging in intellectual diversity.
