There are a lot of clips of Bernie Sanders floating around Monday following his town hall appearance on Fox News with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum. His appearance came right as he followed through on releasing ten years of tax returns, and it looks like the socialist from Vermont with three houses isn’t hurting for cash:
“Sanders' decision to run for president in 2015 ultimately led to an increase in their bottom line – which jumped from $240,622 in 2015 to $1,073,333 a year later. Since his first bid, Sanders and his wife – from 2016-18 – made a total of more than $2.79M” https://t.co/f3AqRTDTGL

As he explained last week, Sanders earned a lot from his bestselling book and assured an audience that you too can be millionaires if you write a bestselling book. But wouldn’t he consider that sort of windfall from his own efforts the American dream? Or at the very least, capitalism at work?
Maybe not.
Bret Baier: "When you wrote the book and made the money, isn't that the definition of capitalism? The American dream?"
Bernie: (awkwardly long pause) “No.” pic.twitter.com/qzx6E912By

If Bernie had one once of sincerity, he would donate 90% of his royalties. But alas I digress.

Shocked how unaware he was that capitalism has been very very good to him.

Duh, just what is capitalism!

You could almost hear the lie being born in his head before he actually said no. That was actually comical. I laughed the same way when Bill Clinton testified. Everyone knew he was lying, but the way he spoke and what he said was so unreal that it was just actually funny. pic.twitter.com/OFZhOdsrxU

He is such a joke. I’m glad they asked him the question.

It's not, because without his taxpayer-funded platform, nobody would have bought his book.

Why didn’t he give his book away for free

And if those go well we could see presidential debates between him and Donald Trump. These debates would be held in America, to Trump’s great advantage.
