Rick Scott honored to have won 'close but decisive victory,' says it's time to move forward

As Twitchy reported earlier, the noon deadline for each Florida county to have its unofficial vote count to the Secretary of State came and went, leaving both Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott in the lead.

However, recounts in both races have been triggered, compelling Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum to withdraw his concession to DeSantis.

As far as the U.S. Senate race goes, Rick Scott considers it over and offered this tweet Saturday evening:

The people of Florida have spoken and I am so honored to have won a close but decisive victory. I will fight for Florida every day as your next U.S. Senator. It’s time Senator Nelson accepts these results and allows the state of Florida to move forward to a better future.
