We here at Twitchy aren’t pro journalists like Jim Acosta or Chuck Todd, but we do try to verify every claim. Did Facebook really “ban” a pro-life campaign ad for Montana Senate candidate Matt Rosendale?
Well, Susan B. Anthony List has the receipts; Facebook clearly said the ad was “disapproved” after “closer review.”
Here’s the spot — and in case you’re wondering if it has graphic images of abortion, no, it does not. There’s an image of a sonogram and that’s it. See for yourself:
BREAKING: @Facebook just banned ANOTHER one of our ads – this time in Montana.
This is getting ridiculous, @SherylSandberg. What's the deal? Is #ProLife speech welcome on your platform or not?#MTSen @MattForMontana #IVoteProLife✅

You all saw the same ad we did, right?
Here's the email from Facebook telling us they have banned our ad in Montana supporting @MattForMontana who is running for #MTSen: pic.twitter.com/hqEonhkK8m

Seriously, Facebook, what’s going on?
This is very troubling. https://t.co/dFvQ8lhdLU

Facebook is openly engaging in election meddling.
— Reginald Harper (@harperreginald1) November 1, 2018
What’s even controversial about this ad? Of course @facebook will likely give you some vague answer.
— ChrisOnPolitics (@USA_First_2016) November 1, 2018
Nothing wrong with that ad.

I want to know what is wrong with this ad? It’s not offensive if it is truthful.
— Rated pg (@smartgirl1998) November 1, 2018
Why? This is the truth, what is their reason? This is ridiculous?

I HATE that the banning of #prolife advertisements on @facebook is happening.
I LIKE that you are bringing attention to the double standards practiced in social media organizations.

Facebook is literally BEGGING for governmental regulation…

At some point Facebook and Google’s actions are going to start running afoul of anti-trust laws. https://t.co/lXIHShnpJr

It's long past time for the Republican party to file suit against Facebook, Twitter, and Google for their attempts to effect the election. It's so obvious, and there needs to be equal time required for Republicans to get their message out.

These people are literally discriminating against conservatives and Republicans. Democrats would be out in the streets vandalizing property and assaulting people (even more than they currently do) if the shoe were on the other foot.

They would be out in the streets if they weren’t all indoors working for Facebook and all the other tech giants.
