We’ve never heard of independent reporter Joshua Albert, but we have to admit he got our attention with his reporting on the police who took down a mass shooter at a synagogue in Pittsburgh Saturday morning: they were just doing their jobs, so stop celebrating them, and besides, they’re to blame.
Can we stop gushing over law enforcement every damn time they stop a conservative extremist terrorist/mass shooter? For starters, they are simply doing their job. Secondly, and more importantly, cops are why we have Trump in the first fucking place. Blood is on their hands.
— Joshua Albert (@jpegjoshua) October 27, 2018
But what about the cops who were shot? Any ounce of sympathy there?
Maybe if police unions hadn’t have endorsed Trump he wouldn’t have won, and maybe then there wouldn’t have been such a rise in @GOP sanctioned anti-semitism and bigotry, and then just maybe they wouldn’t have been shot? Just a thought! https://t.co/nijO4DyEVh
— Joshua Albert (@jpegjoshua) October 28, 2018
So … cops voted for Trump, who then inspired conservative extremists to shoot up synagogues and send mail bombs, so in effect, it’s the cops’ fault for setting the ball rolling?
We’re pretty sure we know why Albert is “independent” — we don’t think even Vox or Salon would take on this clown.
And this d-bag is verified. https://t.co/pYdzo7wmCu

Looks like someone didn't get tipped for serving lattes.
— Big Gorilla (@BigGorilla4) October 27, 2018
Wow you're awful. This is why I'll continue to vote Republican forever. Never aligning myself with people like you. Ever.
— KilroyFSU (@KilroyFSU) October 27, 2018
Shooter was anti Trump, not conservative, probably part of your #AngryDemocratMob
— Susan (@TheNomadicFan) October 27, 2018
First, shooter was conservative? Can you point me toward supporting evidence? Second, what do you propose- eliminate law enforcement? Anarchy? I honestly am interested to hear what should replace law enforcement. Thx in advance.
— ELockhart (@ELockhartF) October 27, 2018
Who you gonna call, jerk?
— Erick Brockway (@erickbrockway) October 27, 2018
Lol you are so ignorant. Hope you don’t call 911 next time something happens to you and you need them.
— Dispatch Belle ? ? (@DarkDispatch) October 27, 2018
I don’t understand the line you are trying to draw. Law enforcement officials are here to protect citizens. I guarantee if someone were to attack you, you’d want a cop to help you. Please stop trying to verbally abuse men and women who’d lay down their lives for you.
— Josh Snider (@SnideTheCrow) October 27, 2018
Law enforcement running towards gunfire, ‘simply doing their job,’ according to this guy.
Another keyboard warrior who would wet himself if he was shot at.
— Joseph Giacalone (@JoeGiacalone) October 27, 2018
The reason I gush about the police is that they will protect you too if you need it.
— Context (@The13thNumber) October 27, 2018
Hated for the police is just one more way the left is filled with hate.
— Evan Sayet (@EvanSayet) October 27, 2018
Actually, law enforcement has been around since the birth of our country. And yes we must thank them over and over again because they are the only thing protecting us from anarchy. And the only anarchy I've seen has been coming from the Left.
— H Kirsh (@HKirsh1) October 27, 2018

— Ricky Dixon (@RickyD224) October 27, 2018
Ok tuff guy. Come out and ask to do a ride along with ur local police department. See lil air burglars as urself think life is easy and full of rainbows. When a person takes a oath to put their life in front of urs during a horrific act and they don’t know u, means something.PITO

You poor, ignorant little person.

— Denise Foxx (@DFoxx5) October 27, 2018
No, you are why we have Trump.
— Shianne Huston (@wysassygirl) October 27, 2018
Would it completely blow your mind if someone told you that attitudes and ideas like yours are why we have Trump in the first place now and again in 2020? pic.twitter.com/QjN5VAdznS
— Soft Insubordination (@EDOMLIH) October 27, 2018
Keep Tweeting, please, so we can re Tweet your nonsense and more people will get out and vote red. It’s people like you that we have Trump in the first place. #winning
— Kyle Bell (@Kyle_Bell) October 28, 2018
Four cops were shot stopping this guy. Getting shot isn’t their job. It’s a risk of their job. There is an enormous difference. Divisive morons like you, not cops, are why Trump got elected.
— Reggie Dunlop (@sgtbuzzcut) October 27, 2018
Drama queen
— Paul Potapa (@PaulPotapa) October 27, 2018
What a complete idiot and sad human being you must be. Yes, police officers are "simply doing their job." Thank God they are and that we have such fine men and women who are willing to risk their lives for us everyday.
— Mike Kernan (@Marinefox27) October 27, 2018
Sure we can stop "gushing" over LE, because as you so accurately point out we are "simply doing our job."
We didn't ask for the positive or negative attention!
We in LE have just one request from you in return. . . quit blaming LE for all your issues! #CarryOn
— CaptDougNolte (@CaptDougNolte) October 27, 2018
Let me ask you something, where were you when shots were being fired? Behind a keyboard? Don't you dare to put down the men and women of #LawEnforcement. Yes, it's our job, but doesn't mean we don't care about people
— Hector Solis (@Tactical_Blue_) October 28, 2018
Just call us when you need us. We will still respond. It’s what we do. Hopefully you won’t be gushing.
— Angel L Maysonet?? (@bigricanman) October 28, 2018
There’s nothing “simple” about law enforcement. I can’t say the same about your intellect. #BlueLivesMatter
— Richard Floyd (@sarge131) October 28, 2018
You only wish you were half the man our police are. Idiot #BackTheBlue
— Sherryl (@mclemore809) October 28, 2018
I feel bad for anyone who considers your “work” to be journalism. You’re a disgusting representation of whoever you claim to represent
— Ben (@BSav207) October 27, 2018
If we didn’t have law enforcement, I imagine you would be the first to go.
— Steve-Stro (@stephenhotard) October 27, 2018
I’d like to see you do their job. #spoiledbrat

you write for a living… these people protect all of us,which you chose not to do. Next time you need help do not call 911

If you are one of Joshua's friends, you really need to go check up on him. He's obviously in distress. If I knew his address I'd call the authorities myself for them to do a wellness check. Step up and be a friend.

Fathers…this is what happens when you abandon your children. Please, consider the possibility that the child you abandon might grow up to be like Joshua Albert.
Thank you.
