On Friday, Twitchy showed pictures and video of a caravan of Central American migrants breaking down the border fence between Guatemala and Mexico, and here are a couple more photos to refresh your memory:
These are real images from yesterday.
A massive caravan of Honduran migrants storming the gate of the Guatemala-Mexico border bridge on their way to America.
Hundreds broke through & overwhelmed Mexican immigration agents.
3,000 total.

This is a deeply inhumane & terrifying model of immigration.
It has been practiced in Europe for years.
People die.
It is truly a horrifying new norm.— Benny (@bennyjohnson) October 20, 2018

CNN reporter Bill Weir is embedded inside the caravan and posted a series of photos Saturday night that we think was supposed to evoke sympathy rather than act as a get-out-the-vote effort for the GOP.
What would you do to chase The American Dream?
Would you jump off a bridge? Here are some of my pics (and one incredible story) from this day on Mexico's southern border… pic.twitter.com/xyaMHb2nZj

After getting caught in the human flash flood yesterday, I've spent most idle minutes worried about all the kids in that #caravan crowd… pic.twitter.com/j1PvUc2GXP

I spotted this little dude playing with a Federale just inside the Mexican fence. The cop was letting him play with his helmet and making paper airplanes for the boy… pic.twitter.com/p3iDFCjFNc

Since he was with his Mom inside the border, I assumed they were among the lucky few taken to shelter and processing. pic.twitter.com/DwlLoAZecW

But then this morning…I saw him. Clinging to a man as they were lowered from the bridge to the river via a crude, improvised rope ladder.
His name is Carlitos Guillermo. pic.twitter.com/ccgcN0tcsC— Bill Weir (@BillWeirCNN) October 21, 2018

Then she sat on the inner tube raft and watched as her daughter, Candy descended, terrified. pic.twitter.com/E9Ecxsaxtk

The men and boys who jumped first were in charge of towing the others to safety. And you could see the relief on their faces as they hit Mexican soil for the second time in 24 hours. pic.twitter.com/vhuxwmA9NK

"What made you climb that ladder?" I asked Rosalin.
"To complete the dream I have," she said. "I saved my money, sold everything to come here. Don't you have a mother? Wouldn't she do the same for you?" pic.twitter.com/P2YpSRFPvi— Bill Weir (@BillWeirCNN) October 21, 2018
We followed them to a shelter in Ciudad Hidalgo.
Carlitos wouldn't stop smiling.
I wonder what will happen to him. pic.twitter.com/w2KbftdZzE— Bill Weir (@BillWeirCNN) October 21, 2018
This is a walking GOP ad, just in time for the midterms. People who won’t take no for an answer and will repeatedly break whatever laws they have to in order to get their desired outcome… They could get asylum in Mexico, but asylum isn’t what they are after.

This sort of brutality is exactly why America needs an immigration system that doesn’t incentivize illegal immigration. Irrespective of allowing more or less people; the current open borders system encourages this sort of suffering.

Bill, they want American money more than the dream.

The American Dream is Democracy. The Constitution, being a part of western civilization.
I hope I clarified the basics.— @smizik (@staceysmiz) October 21, 2018
Does the American dream include a nation state with definite lawful borders? Is the requirement for citizenship simply really really wanting to be American?
