We thought America was already great, but now WSFA News in Alabama is making a lot of people reconsider if the United States really is on the right path by reporting that more people watched the royal wedding Saturday than watched the Alabama-Georgia national title game.

“Nielsen reported 29.2 million Americans tuned in to 15 channels to catch a glimpse of the American actress marrying Europe’s most popular prince,” WSFA reports, compared to 16.9 million for the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship.

True, but still …

For what it’s worth, the 2018 Super Bowl (what the Brits call American football) trounced both events with 103.4 million viewers, so there’s still hope.
