There’ll never be an honest debate about immigration until all sides agree that there is a difference between legal and illegal immigration.
For example, a couple of days ago, Bloomberg View columnist Joe Nocera dropped this hot take on U.S. immigration:
30 percent of MLB players are immigrants, most of whom have not become US citizens. Given ICE’s current obsession, fully expect them to raid spring training camps when players start reporting next month. They’re taking jobs away from Americans, after all.

Today's #QuibblerAward goes to Joe, who is suggesting that the roster of the New York Yankees illegally snuck across the US/Mexico border. https://t.co/l5A3Ikve9I

Here’s our prediction: expect Americans this summer to cheer on those players whose talents brought them to this country.
