Newly minted political activist Chelsea Handler seems to have found the bright side of the House’s passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Tuesday. If we’re reading her tweet correctly (and we’re sober, so maybe not), she thinks the backlash against the bill will drive minorities into public office in 2018? Or does she mean we’ll have more compassionate representatives in office in 2018 to take care of minorities?
Tax reform will result in sweeping success in 2018 for minorities everywhere. We will finally elect people 2 public office who know a thing or two about compassion and empathy. Don’t give up the fight. The world is getting browner and gayer, and it’s going to be beautiful.

We’ll admit we hadn’t connected the GOP tax bill to the world getting browner and gayer, but if it serves as some consolation to Handler, we’ll allow it.
Well a brown, gay President didn't help move forward this tax reform, now did he?

She’s pro-Trump, now? https://t.co/BKexD1jtVQ

Imagine thinking that "sweeping success" for brown and gay people comes in the form of electing politicians? She seems to think they're helpless and need government to save them all. It's so condescending and insulting I can hardly stand it. https://t.co/56jAD0d33I

Yes, because the Left has a monopoly on compassion and empathy. Asserting otherwise is to strawman the Left–everyone knows the only good person is a Leftist. Also, there are no Republicans that are non-white and/or gay. Anyone that says otherwise is a Russian with fake news! https://t.co/qfujnHYLTS

That's funny, it seems Ms. Handler's auto-correct is on fire today. I think what she meant to say was, not "compassion and empathy," but "communism and eugenics." It seems that basing the beauty of the country on skin color is a bit… I don't know, racist maybe? https://t.co/P9Y617SL6q
