As Twitchy reported earlier, the New York Times editorial board took the unprecedented step Wednesday of tweeting the phone numbers of key senators and telling readers to call and encourage them to oppose the GOP’s tax bill. This was just one of several tweets:

As David Harsanyi wrote at The Federalist, the Times editorial board “was indistinguishable from any of the well-funded partisan groups it whines about in editorials all the time.”

However, the Times’ Vikas Bajaj insisted the newspaper’s editorial board was just doing what it always does: advocating for a policy it agreed with.

Imagine that.
