Earlier today, police managed to raze the tent city protesters had erected outside of the Fourth Precinct Police Department and set up barriers around the building in anticipation of more #Justice4Jamar protests tonight. Police had to wrestle the barriers from demonstrators who tried to make off with them.

That’s a good indicator of how the night was going to go, despite pleas from Jamar Clark’s family that things remain peaceful.

Peaceful protest? Where’s DeRay? Still advising on the terror raids in the suburbs of Paris, which he fears might be witch hunts?
Oh wait, here he is.
It's clear that the Minneapolis police are trying to escalate the protestors. But the protestors won't be baited. #Justice4Jamar

Note that protesters denotes only those “official” protesters there for the cause, not the outside agitators with no affiliation with #BlackLivesMatter.

So, the Minneapolis police just shot this at protestors. #Justice4Jamar pic.twitter.com/SM2rFMcEKg

Police just fired a couple of these canisters at people.. Is it like a chalky paint ball type way of marking people? pic.twitter.com/S45TEnNqFi
— Lou Raguse (@LouRaguse) November 19, 2015
They’re not rubber bullets.
Police just told us they fired the marking projectile at a person they say throw a brick at an officer.
— Lou Raguse (@LouRaguse) November 19, 2015
Regards to marking round; still looking for suspect appearing on livestream with bandaged hand who admitted running from police & being hit
— Minneapolis Police (@MinneapolisPD) November 19, 2015
Someone tell the @UR_Ninja streamer that kid hit with a "rubber bullet" was marked and they're looking for him. https://t.co/8oY3H461ki

One of the organized protesters asked me to specify that those throwing bricks or bottles are not part of the organized protest…
— Lou Raguse (@LouRaguse) November 19, 2015
We thought the organized protesters had requested that its members not talk to members of the racist mainstream media.
She said there are angry people who are not out here camping that are showing up and causing trouble and making the rest of them look bad

more maced outside 4th precinct #jamarclark pic.twitter.com/qbQ9Ai6sAD
— bengarvin (@bengarvin) November 19, 2015
Police on the scene report the mace is coming from the crowd, not police.
— Minneapolis Police (@MinneapolisPD) November 19, 2015
.@MinneapolisPD & @MayorHodges, this is a lie. We just got maced through a fence by the police. https://t.co/vlynWmDYhz
— deray (@deray) November 19, 2015
Just to clarify, we have confirmed officers have been sprayed with chemical agent from people who are not officers
— Minneapolis Police (@MinneapolisPD) November 19, 2015
At this point, 1 incident where chemical irritant was used and another incident where officer has been hit by irritant from outside
— Minneapolis Police (@MinneapolisPD) November 19, 2015
Chemical irritant was used again after officers trying to remove tarps had rocks and bottles thrown at them
— Minneapolis Police (@MinneapolisPD) November 19, 2015
At this point it's clear it's coming from both sides — based on mine and my colleagues observations. https://t.co/aCJo9mg77I
