That seems like quite a leap. The Walt Disney Company has been offering its employees benefits for their same-sex partners since 1996, but a princess marrying a princess? Spoiler warning for “Frozen”: the princess doesn’t marry the prince in this one, but she does end up with “ice dude.”
Finished Frozen. Glad Anna ends up w ice dude, not prince. & saves herself. Still, would luv to see full range of families in kids movies.

Plenty think it’s time for Disney to move ahead with same-sex couples and families.
@sallykohn @DisneyPictures yes!!!

@sallykohn Love is love.
— (((Touré))) (@Toure) January 25, 2014
@sallykohn Yes. Yes. Yes.
— Jason Evan Mihalko (@jaypsyd) January 26, 2014
@sallykohn That would be epic!
— Film2Counselor (@lo3_oscar) January 25, 2014
. @Toure @sallykohn I completely agree that it would be awesome & should happen…but what do you think about it from a business perspective
— Alex VanRoekel (@alexvanroekel) January 25, 2014
@sallykohn @JulieLvsPACKERS Progressive lesbian princesses would abdicate their titles and work together to bring democracy to the kingdom.
— Eileen Bresnahan (@EileenBresnahan) January 26, 2014
What do the rest of you think?

No. RT @sallykohn: Watching Frozen, it's awesome. But ain't it finally time for a kid's film where the princess marries a princess?!
— Bobo (@omobobo) January 25, 2014
@sallykohn @DisneyPictures no..it's not….ever.
— G (@Random_acct) January 25, 2014
@Toure @sallykohn No. Kids movies should be off limits to far left ideology. They should see the norm, man marrying woman.
— Julie Piskula (@JulieLvsPACKERS) January 25, 2014
@Toure @sallykohn nah

@sallykohn no, we don't need @DisneyPictures to push your agenda Sally, you're doing a fine job of it yourself.
— nick (@RobinThrilliams) January 25, 2014
@sallykohn please…leave your politics out of my children's movies. Let them be kids.
— Jeremie Jordan (@StarDogCh4mpion) January 25, 2014
@sallykohn @WilGafney @DisneyPictures Negative!
— Yvadne Robinson (@Yvadne) January 25, 2014
@sallykohn that would be cool. Maybe the girl can get pregnant and have an abortion at 26 weeks. I know, we can call her Wendy…..
— Jay (@football_jay) January 25, 2014
@sallykohn I'd say do away with sexual roles in movies for kids altogether. Let kids be kids for fuck's sake.

Some are encouraged by the “baby steps” Disney has been taking.
@sallykohn Small steps. This is the first @DisneyPictures where the princess didn't marry a prince and solved the problem herself.
— Jenn Borgioli Binis (@JennBinis) January 25, 2014
@sallykohn @DisneyPictures I was just happy she didn't have to marry a prince to get a happy ending!
— Leanne Boucher (@BoucherLeanne) January 25, 2014
@sallykohn @DisneyPictures how about getting rid of the princess fantasy 1st. Makes a lot of young women delusional IMO.
— Shook (@Shook_Jones) January 25, 2014
@sallykohn @disneypictures Baby steps 🙂 I like that the damsel isn't rescued by the prince for a change…
— CunningPike (@cunningpike) January 25, 2014
What about Oaken’s gay family?
@sallykohn They DID have a scene where the deep-mountain storekeeper's family was a gay family with 3 kids!
