Mayor Rahm Emanuel threatens pat-downs at funerals if gangs don't learn to respect churches

Having stepped up to the threat posed to his city by a proposed chicken sandwich shop, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is turning his attention back to gun violence, and just in time: the city has racked up 470 murders so far this year. Emanuel has a way with the gang bangers, appealing to them in July to remember their values and not shoot each other in front of children. (“Take your stuff away to the alley,” he recommended.) Today he adds that they should respect places of worship as well. Problem solved?
