Paul Ryan releases two years' worth of tax returns

As the Obama campaign continues to press Mitt Romney to release at least five years’ worth of tax returns, vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan this evening has released his family’s 2010 and 2011 taxes. For a media so focused on tax returns, you’d think reporters would be a bit more excited to have something to do on a Friday night.

Copies of the tax returns themselves are available on the official Romney campaign site.

So, any shocking revelations?

Ryan and his wife paid an effective tax rate of 15.9% in 2010 on $215,417 of adjusted gross income, and a 20% tax rate in 2011 on income of $323,416. The Ryans donated $2,600 to charity in 2010 and $12,991 in 2011.

Tough crowd.
