We’ll give credit to Politico for giving “Republicans pounce” a rest and instead reporting that “allies of the president seized on the [New York Post story] to argue that it proved Biden had abused his position to intervene with the Ukrainian government on his son’s behalf — and that he had lied when he insisted he had steered clear of his son’s business dealings.”
According to Politico, the Biden campaign, which called a lid at 9:41 a.m., lashed out at the Russian disinformation being spread by the Post. Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates said, “We have reviewed Joe Biden’s official schedules from the time and no meeting, as alleged by the New York Post, ever took place.” So there.
However, “Biden’s campaign would not rule out the possibility that the former VP had some kind of informal interaction with [Burisma adviser Vadym] Pozharskyi, which wouldn’t appear on Biden’s official schedule.”
