Some are sharing rumors that a military coup d’etat maybe underway to depose Morsi, despite any actual evidence to support the allegation.

Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi Isa El-Ayyat made an attempt to consolidate his grip on power earlier this week, prompting ongoing street protests and claims that he was attempting to establish himself as a new Pharaoh.

Is a “technical glitch” responsible for bringing down Egyptian television, or is the volatile political situation to blame? (Note: Morsi’s heavy hand with Egyptian media dissidents is well-documented.) Twitchy will update this story as it develops.
