As more information comes out about the shooting in Florida, one thing is becoming even more evident: there were warning signs that people missed.

This is a sad revelation.
If that is the case, then why was Cruz not sent to a mental institution for help, especially since he started posting materials at least 3 years ago about shooting and guns. I do not believe for a second that the school district did not know about him.

Because we live in a politically correct society. People are afraid of saying anything.
The reason nobody wants to speak up anymore is because everyones afraid of being sued or accused of being racist etc. etc.

Precisely.
That’s great! So this could have been prevented if they would have SPOKE UP before! People wake up: It’s not the guns, it’s our World!

Maybe if we didn’t have to tiptoe around everyone’s feelings people would be inclined to speak up.
In just about every case similar to this…the shooters were known ti have serious violent mental issues and not enough was done

Again with the PC culture.
Sounds like political correctness prevented the right actions from taking place w/ this crazy maniac. We have to start acting on identified threats openly known by the public. There was little to no action taken by authority figures responsible for the safety of our youth.

Maybe there should be a week dedicated to this on school campuses, similar to Red Week, where schools push students to say “no” to drugs.
