One of the most intense exchanges tonight comes from Stoneman Douglas High School junior Cameron Kasky who wanted Sen. Marco Rubio to reject campaign donations from the NRA.
Rubio, however, made a valid argument: He receives funding from the NRA because he backs the Second Amendment, not because he’s being bought off.

What I don’t think @cameron_kasky understands is that he just did @marcorubio a HUGE favor. His attitude and demeanor allowed people watching to feel sympathy to Rubio. @CBSMiami #ParklandTownHall #ParklandStudents

Isn’t that the truth?
Video: Absolutely despicable behavior by Parkland student Cameron Kasky comparing @MarcoRubio to the guman and questioned @DLoesch's motherhood and whether she cares about her children. @JakeTapper does nothing. How un-American. Simply unacceptable #CNNTownhall #StudentsStandUp pic.twitter.com/Y68sPTOBOe

It was absolutely crazy that he went there.
The way this kid Cameron Kasky is acting is unhelpful and rude. I get that he is in pain. But I cannot stand this bully Marco Rubio pep rally. I think this town hall is horrid and CNN should be ashamed. #StudentsStandUp #Rubio #CNNTownHall.

Rubio has become a punching bag for the left.
the follow up question on marco rubio's continuing to trade with NRA should be, what specifically is it about your agenda that the NRA is buying into? what are they getting for their purchase? #neveragain

Um…maybe, just maybe, it’s that he defends the Second Amendment?
Coward Marco Rubio.

If he was a REAL coward, he wouldn’t have shown up, would he?
Sorry but that kid was trying to bait @marcorubio #StudentsStandUp

Good job belittling the Senator.
@cameron_kasky just went all in on @marcorubio and the senator couldn’t even man up with a straight answer. Swampy politics exposed in the bright light of #StudentsStandUp ???

Good grief.
