Before we start, let me say this is my opinion, only mine, and not the opinion of Salem or Twitchy. Now that is out of the way, let us start this conversation where I know I will get some backlash, but it is ok to disagree with me. I can take it. :)
Everyone knows Trump has selected J.D. Vance as his running mate. I think it is a bad choice. Most of the time the VP pick is a person who brings balance to a ticket or brings in voters the main attraction might have just out of their grasp.
Vance does none of that. He only appeals to a base Trump already had locked up. The people who like Vance already loved Trump. I have said it before, but Trump does not always pick good people. He backed Ronna over Harmeet in the GOP chair election and it cost the GOP many seats.
Vance has some pretty controversial views on IVF in particular which could hurt but probably won't. The good news for those of us who want Trump to win is that most people just ignore the Vice Presidential running mate. The only time they really make a difference is when they can pull some people in. For example, if Trump had chosen Youngkin from Virginia he probably would have locked up the Northern Virginia vote that is very elusive to the Right.
How many Vice Presidents can you name off the top of your head that made or broke a campaign? I have followed politics since I was 16 years old and only had an AM radio in my piece of junk Chevette and began listening to RUSH LIMBAUGH on my route to drive my teammates to and from cheer practice. I can think of none.

My advice is to play Vance down. Treat him like he is a non-factor in the race, because honestly, if history holds true, he is. His stance does not matter, and he will have to fight for the nomination in 2028. His lack of experience is not much different than the lack a certain President Obama had when he won the actual Presidency.
If you are the X (twitter) fight type, just ignore the taunts about Vance. They have some wild accusations running around, but his stance on IVF is probably the most prevalent put-down. Just ignore it. Say you are happy to talk about what TRUMP can and will do for you and the country.
My favorite talking point is the independent Contractor Rule that Biden and Harris have put in place. They are trying to destroy the gig economy. Women and the disabled choose freelance / gig work more often than any other demographic so if they are worried about Vance's stance on IVF they should be worried about the Left literally trying to force disabled people into w2 jobs they could be fired from because they do not offer the flexible hours freelancing offers.
We will not even address the couch rumor, that seems ridiculous. ANYWAY, we wrote this entire VIP piece just to say, that while Vance is not our first or even our 1001st pick, and we think he has a lot of flaws and does not really bring a boost to the ticket, we feel it is inconsequential. There were better options, but regardless of who Trump chose, the Left would find something insane to say about them and treat them like baby Hitler.
Keep your eyes on the prize. You and everyone else in the country still know they WERE better off 4 years ago and Trump can win this. We think he WILL win this. It is still going to be an uphill battle as nothing has been changed on the ballot harvesting ploys the Left played in 2020 but it can be done.
