Former President Trump put out a warning to Governor Ron DeSantis telling him he should NOT run for the GOP nomination for President and many people are speculating about why he would do that.
We promise we are going to show you Pro-Trump and Pro-DeSantis tweets, so if you are firmly in one camp or the other you will have some things to think over and some things you will agree with. Just keep reading. 🙂
Trump tells DeSantis not to run. He hasn’t told Haley, Ramaswamy, or anyone else to step aside. Why? pic.twitter.com/05wEcjU0eV
— Ian Miles Cheong (@stillgray) April 19, 2023
That is a valid question. DeSantis has not even declared to be running for the nomination at this time, but others have, so why is he not talking to them? Even if you are a Trump fan, you have to be ok with asking that question.
It’s primary season.

It is the primary season, and people will get a little bloody in the back and forth, but there is one thing we have to point out. Trump is not talking directly to anyone who is IN the primary.
DeSantis may look like he is going to run for the nomination but he has not declared that yet.
@GovRonDeSantis has earned my vote if he runs

We are kind of in the whoever gets the nomination and can beat ‘President Pudding Pop’ camp. Yes, we have preferences but when we are writing we are always going to welcome many points of view and cross our fingers that everyone gets along at the end in order to beat Democrats.
You know why. Because Trump is scared of DeSantis.
— Ed Krassenstein (@EdKrassen) April 19, 2023
He doesn’t feel threatened by them
— Anmarie (@AnmarieInMn) April 19, 2023
He doesn't fear them yet…
— Mally (@wordsaretools) April 19, 2023
Most of the Pro-DeSantis people were saying Trump is putting out this warning because he is scared of DeSantis. It is not a bad take. DeSantis is not officially in the race and is the only person polling anywhere near Trump. Most polls we have seen do have Trump in the lead by quite a bit so we are not sure why he would be scared.
@_johnnymaga Who tells someone not to run unless they are so weak they fear a loss? Never heard a candidate ever do this. https://t.co/TUVAZoSiie
— Di (@DI82589) April 19, 2023
To be honest, we have followed politics for a very long time and have not seen this either. It is common behavior once somebody is in the race but not as a warning.
Also how would DeSantis running “split” the party if DeSantis has no support? Haley has no support. Vivek has no support. They’re not splitting the party. How is Ron different? https://t.co/JESuy06qC8
— Just Mindy 🐊 (@just_mindy) April 19, 2023
Another great observation. Why is DeSantis the only person who would be ‘splitting’ the party? We do have to add that Trump himself was accused of possibly ‘splitting’ the party by the Never Trump faction when he first ran in 2016.
Now into some PRO-Trump tweets and some of the ideas Trump fans had for the reasoning behind the ad.
Because desantis needs to build his brand for 2028 and 2032. Not destroy it.
— 🇺🇸 (@TheBourbonette) April 19, 2023
Any primary has some people get pretty beat up, but as we have seen in 2016, Trump does bring a brand new meaning to destroying his opponents in the primaries.
He wants him as VP.
— JD Sharp (@imjdsharp) April 19, 2023
This was a popular idea as well, but as Trump and DeSantis both claim residency in Florida, that will be hard. One of them would need to move in order to get more votes and bring in another state for the Electoral College. Maybe Trump goes back to New York?
Considering the fact that the Biden DOJ is trying to throw President Trump in jail, every Republican should drop out of the race and endorse Trump immediately to save the Country
— Alex Sheppard 🇺🇸 (@NotAlexSheppard) April 19, 2023
Solidarity is a good plan. What Bragg in New York is doing to Trump is ridiculous and even people who are not Trump fans are willing to stand up and yell to the sky about how stupid the constant seeking to imprison him needs to stop.
Big brother telling little brother that the smack down will be harsh. Just a shot across the bow. https://t.co/8ssec8fywk
— MAGS (@TAftermath2020) April 19, 2023
This editor has a big brother, and as the little sister we can attest to the fact that warning shots before the smackdown is a real thing. You all can decide if you think Trump warrants being called Big Brother.
Because there was a time when he liked DeSantis. He sees DeSantis as the top competition but he knows Ron can’t beat him. Ron has the money behind him, not the people. Trying to save Ron from destroying his future. https://t.co/hQfFFSsGMz
— Vinny (@VP72801) April 19, 2023
This one goes along with the big brother idea, trying to save DeSantis from hurting himself, because even though big brothers pick on the younger siblings like crazy, they also try to protect them from being hurt.

As we described above we do not think a joint ticket is going to fly, but we do hope both camps find some way to settle their differences so we do not have another 4 years of some Democrat destroying the economy and the country.
So there you have it. You can decide what camp you are in and we hope we wrote this covering all sides evenly so you can not tell which one we are in, but PLEASE for the love of our 401ks, come together once the decision is made so we do not have 4 more years of ‘President Tapioca Brain’ or worse, Kamala.
