The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation Twitter account is hilarious and we just found out this week. Whoever is running that account can give Wendy’s a run for its money. It started earlier this month with them sharing some mountain lion footage and asking for help on a tipline. It is pretty funny from the start, but after that, it gets hilarious.

Oklahomie Josh Smith caught this mountain lion prowling through his property via trail camera in Latimer County last week. The sighting was then confirmed at the same feeder pictured above by ODWC Game Warden Shane Fields. pic.twitter.com/GKToL9WZt8

You can help ODWC biologists build its database of sightings for this species by using our handy dandy Mountain Lion Sighting Report Form https://t.co/lHWVdV6NAy

Here is when we start the kind of laughter that makes us cry, but this is just the beginning.
If y’all abuse this form and make life hard for the person who has to go through all these reports we will take it down so fast — don’t you even CONSIDER SOME FOOLISHNESS pic.twitter.com/uWtLHHon4A

There was indeed foolishness and we are not positive if it was on the part of the tipsters, the @OKWildlifeDept Twitter account, or BOTH, but either way, it is a fun ride from here on out.

Whoever filled out a cougar sighting report and wrote "your mother" under the description drop your @ we just want to talk

‘Your Mom‘ jokes are classic, they never fail, not even when Wildlife accounts are involved.
To be fair, you did kind of ask for it.https://t.co/h4uYlvDfN0

They did indeed ask for it and they even played into it as we get further into the thread.
This thread is so life affirming. https://t.co/WYsnNrbQCD

OUCH! But also #same. We never knew much about Oklahoma if we are being honest, but if their wildlife conservation Twitter is this much fun, the state as a whole must be awesome.
This is really why I cannot leave this site. OMG. https://t.co/nOZPVAKi6h

Threads like this keep us all coming back to Twitter! We may want to run for our lives on days when we are being canceled for existing while conservative, but one well-placed joke and we are right back in it.
I did not have “Follow Oklahoma Department of Wildlife” on my 2023 list of things to do, yet somehow here we are. 🤷🏻♀️

Who knew wildlife Twitter was so much fun? We did not. The @OKWildlifeDept account actually went even further, because some of their responses were just as funny as the original tweet.
Oh no! How long has your mother been missing?

Sir, you are a doctor.

We can not stop laughing. @OKWildlifeDept is on a list labeled funny stuff from here on out.
If ever a thread needs a photo………….

Not the photo you were expecting was it? Honestly, we were expecting a Mountain Lion in a dress, but the screenshot of the actual submission is great fun too!
We saved the best for last. New Jersey got in on the joke and it is fabulous.
It wasn't us I swear
— New Jersey (@NJGov) January 9, 2023
Really New Jersey? You are known for the ‘cougars’.
— Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (@OKWildlifeDept) January 9, 2023
That reply was perfect! We know it is not really hard-hitting news, but it was some fun stuff to laugh about in the middle of this complete dumpster fire we call the Biden administration.
Keep up the good work Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. We can all use some laughs!
