CMT is supposed to be about country music but the CMT Music awards have fans of the genre scratching their heads because the show went FULL WOKE.
This editor has stated in previous stories, we do not have issues with drag queens for ADULTS and we still do not have any issues with that, but we do think that CMT should have thought about the adults in their audience before including gun rants and drag shows in the program.

RIGHT!?!? We are not saying that some people who listen to country music may not appreciate those ideas, but if CMT took even a millisecond to look at their base they would know that was not going to be a popular road to go down.

Our guess on this question is NEVER. Nashville is just as much a Lefty bubble as Hollywood and they really do not understand that the people who listen to the music and watch the movies do not want everything in their lives to be political. Country music in particular is supposed to be about storytelling and relating to the people listening to the song. CMT forgot all about that.

That was a blast from the past. The Dixie Chicks changed their name to ‘The Chicks’ in order to appeal to the political ideas they were spouting at the time and their popularity plummeted.
CMT seemed to be oblivious to the fact that the show might not be most of their base’s cup of tea.

This editor is not a huge fan of country music, but we are guessing CMT is going the way of MTV and will be more concerned about running political agenda infomercials and reality TV 24/7 rather than playing music.
