Megan Rapinoe, having already achieved the pinnacle of her career by becoming a World Champion while competing against her fellow biological females, has joined other athletes in signing a letter opposing the Protection of Girls and Women in Sports Act:

From Fox News:
“We believe that gender equity in sport is critical, which is why we urge policymakers to turn their attention and effort to the causes women athletes have been fighting for decades, including equal pay, an end to abuse and mistreatment, uneven implementation of Title IX, and a lack of access and equity for girls of color and girls with disabilities, to name only a few. Our deepest hope is that transgender and intersex kids will never have to feel the isolation, exclusion and othering that H.R. 734 is seeking to enshrine into law,” the letter reads.
Well, that’s really nice and all, but we can’t help but notice that Megan Rapinoe didn’t get to where she was by competing against men.
That's because Megan and the others already got their trophies.

Interesting this happens now that she has reaped the rewards from female sports but she doesn't want the same for other females, and yes I mean biological females.🙄

It does seem pretty easy for these athletes to advocate for things that won’t personally impact their own lives.
USA women's soccer has been great for years. The WNBA is coming into its own and in two years, Clark and Reese. But neither has had a Lia Thomas come in to challenge the biological women. Wonder about their opinion had this (and it will come) happened. The other one is tennis.

Oh, it’s definitely coming. So far this seems to be mostly happening at the high school, college, and recreational levels, but it’s only a matter of time until it finds its way into professional women’s sports.
Outkick has a great analysis on the carefully chosen wording of the petition:
The interesting part is that they refer to the bill as “H.R. 734.” Why? Because they oppose a bill called the Protection of Girls and Women in Sports Act. That doesn’t sound great, does it?
But when Fla. Gov. Ron DeSantis introduced HB 1557, the same group sang a different tune.
Need proof? Have you heard of HB 1557?
What if I call it the “Don’t Say Gay” Bill?
No, it doesn’t sound great, and they know it.
