It wasn't too long ago that I wrote about the Boston Globe calling for an end to women's sports, in the name of 'transgender equality,' of course. While the Left can virtue signal about this until the cows come home, those of us who don't have gender studies degrees from Harvard know what this means: an end to female athletes.
Now Minnesota Fencing has taken the Globe's advice to heart and has ended all women's events in favor of 'mixed-gender competitions.'

The USA Fencing Minnesota division announced plans to only sanction mixed-gender events moving forward in response to new policies that prevent biologically male trans athletes from competing in women's competitions.
USA Fencing changed its policies to ensure that only biological females are able to compete in the women's category last month after the entire U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) updated its athlete safety policy to suggest compliance with President Donald Trump's 'Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports' executive order.
Now, the Minnesota USA Fencing division is going out of its way to ensure that every single event it sanctions will allow biological males to compete against females in response. The division's announcement criticized USA Fencing's new policy as 'harmful.'
No, what's harmful is this notion that every woman has to sacrifice her safety and her hard work for a small handful of delusional men who bully their way into women's sports and safe spaces.
That it's Minnesota doesn't surprise me. She sees what passes for leadership in the state, after all, and she notices 'America's Dad' Tim Walz isn't speaking up to defend women's rights. That only applies to abortion, after all. The only Democratic politician I can think of who had the nerve to speak up for girls is Seth Moulton, who was attacked for saying the very same thing Gavin Newsom did (but we all knew Gavin was lying when he said it, so the outrage was minimal).
But I'll give Minnesota Fencing credit where it's due: at least they're ideologically consistent. They are wrong, of course, but at least they have the spine to make it policy that women and girls don't matter in competition, and that Minnesota Fencing is, by default, a men-only organization.
Frankly, I'm surprised more organizations haven't done this. Then again -- who will 'trans women' (men) bully and injure if there are no women to compete against? It wouldn't shock me if the Left somehow tried to compel women to compete, just so 'trans women' can get the satisfaction of beating them.
This also proves, once again, that the Democratic Party (and the Left in general) don't care about the will of the majority. Prohibiting men in women's sports is an issue on which the vast majority of people, across the political spectrum, agree: It's unfair. It's dangerous. It's wrong. Democrats continue to ignore them. Just like Tim Walz and Minnesota Dems ignore female inmates forced to shower and live with violent men who 'identify as trans.'
It's very clear that Democrats and Minnesota Fencing have decided the feelings of a few men are more important than making sure a woman has a chance to ever win a fencing competition in the state again.
In any other circumstances, Democrats would be apoplectic, and their performative outrage would lead the nightly news. Just like it does when Democrats lie about state-level anti-abortion laws as they did in Georgia (twice!), Nevada, and South Carolina. When President Trump proposed making SNAP cuts for illegal immigrants, Democrats like Amy Klobuchar wasted no time pulling a woman before Congress to tell her sob story. If this were about illegal immigrant women, the Democrats would trip over themselves to get to a microphone to condemn it.
But it's not. It's not about abortion. It's not about illegal immigration. It's not about food stamps. It's about an issue on which the Democratic Party loses. Bigly.
Because of that, the so-called Party of Women won't say a word about it.
