Schrödinger's Iranian Nuclear Program

Imgflip

It's a day ending in -y, so the Democratic Party is changing its story -- once again -- on Iran and its nuclear program.

I was in Greece when the news broke that the U.S. had bombed Iranian nuclear sites, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. It was welcome news. President Trump has repeatedly said throughout both terms that Iran cannot obtain nuclear weapons and he's right.

In a press conference following the strike, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said Iran's nuclear program was 'obliterated.'

As a state sponsor of terror that endorses both 'Death to Israel' and 'Death to America,' Iran cannot be allowed to enrich uranium for any purpose. One would think this is a common-sense viewpoint held by the vast majority of people.

Democrats, however, are not known for common sense. Driven by their one Prime Directive -- 'Orange Man Bad' -- they've decided to come down on the side of Iran and its nuclear program. Consequences be damned.

It didn't take even 24 hours for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to call for Trump's impeachment over the bombings, claiming he had no Constitutional authority to authorize them (he does, in fact, have such authority, but that's a topic for another post). House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries claimed Trump 'misled' the nation on his intentions in Iran.

I fully expected the Leftist outrage over a successful strike against Iran.

What I didn't expect was how they'd play fast and loose with their arguments about the viability and progress of Iran's nuclear program, instead assuming the nation is too stupid to realize the game they're playing.

The media, naturally, are happy to help move those goalposts.

A week ago, it was wrong to bomb Iran because they were years away from developing a nuclear weapon.

Five days ago, it was wrong to bomb Iran because it didn't really stop the nuclear weapon they were totally not developing in the first place.

And now Democratic Senator Mark Warner has decided Iran's nuclear program is so advanced that they might just be building a nuclear bomb in the trunk of a car.

Not only is there no feasible way Iran -- or any nation -- is creating a nuclear bomb in the back of Buick, the idea that inspectors will keep Iran in line is, at best, laughable.

In March of last year, John Kirby told the media Iran would comply with the demands of the Biden administration as Biden unlocked $10 million in funds to Iran, even though Anthony Blinken was in Vienna and cited concerns about Iran's lack of cooperation with IAEA inspectors.

So spare me, Warner.

Brett McGurk, former North African and Middle East coordinator of the National Security Council went on CNN and told the nation that the strikes did, in fact, render Iran's reactors inoperable, probably forever. Watch the faces of the anchors as they realize Trump won:

That says everything we need to know: there is no lie they won't tell about Iran's nuclear program and ambitions if they think it'll harm Trump and his agenda.

Iran's nuclear program was years away from a bomb!

Trump's strikes only set the program back a few months!

Iran is building a bomb in a car trunk!

Pick one, Democrats.

It's becoming clearer with each passing day why the Democratic Party has approval ratings in the low 20s. They are wholly out of touch with not only American voters, but the rest of the world and -- quite frankly -- reality itself. Iran does not deserve a nuclear program of any kind, given its radical Islamic government and its hatred of Israel and America.

No matter how many times the Left moves the goalposts on the Iranian nuclear program, one thing remains clear: bombing those sites made the world an infinitely safer place.
