Obama hosts taxpayer-funded state dinner to reward major campaign donors

As President Obama hosts a state dinner tonight at the White House for Great Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron, he decides to spotlight something other than achievements of the American people: his top campaign donors. In fact, 1 in 10 guests tonight at the dinner are part of his campaign bundlers, according to ABC’s Devin Dwyer. Here’s an excerpt from his report:

More than three dozen of President Obama’s top re-election campaign financiers are guests at tonight’s White House state dinner in honor of British Prime Minister David Cameron.

They include Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, media mogul Fred Eychaner, Pfizer executive Sally Susman, Stoneyfield Farms president and CEO Gary Hirschberg, and Microsoft executives Suzi Levine and John Frank. Several have each raised more than half a million dollars for 2012, according to estimates provided by Obama’s campaign.

The group attending the dinner tonight is responsible for at least $10.7 million of the roughly $250 million Obama and Democrats have amassed for the election cycle so far.

What a nice idea President Obama had, rewarding his donors with a dinner funded by the American people.

Only a man like President Obama would host a dinner on America’s dime so his donor’s would get to meet a top foreign official. Cameron wouldn’t do something like this. It seems Great Britain is a bit classier than our president. That shouldn’t surprise you though. This is a man who accepts donations from people like Bill Maher – one of the filthiest men in America.

And here’s only part of what you’re helping pay for:

Too bad they don’t realize the money they’re wasting. After November, he’ll be another page we skip over in American history.
