You won’t be able to see the next big change on Twitter, but it might affect whose tweets you see. It was announced today that Twitter was tweaking its metadata to include an algorithm that “grades” tweets with values of “high,” “medium,” “low” or “none.” Hence, it will now be possible to rank tweets according to their importance as determined by Twitter’s algorithm.
The Next Web speculates that the new formula most likely will be “a combination of shares, views, engagement numbers and so forth.” As we say on Twitter, “Bqhatevwr.”
