MSNBC gets BUSTED using deceptive editing to impugn Sean Hannity [video]; UPDATE: WaPo pulls the same crap

As Twitchy told you earlier, the blue-check brigade pounced — yes, we said “pounced” — on Sean Hannity after he urged witnesses to destroy their phones before turning them over to Robert Mueller. The only problem was that Hannity didn’t really do that; he was making a point about Hillary Clinton.

But context isn’t important when you’ve got a narrative to push. So it’s no surprise that MSNBC is taking Hannity’s remarks, bashing them “into itsy-bitsy pieces,” and putting them together in just the right way to suggest that Hannity is encouraging illegal behavior:

oh cool, MSNBC ran with an edited version of Hannity's comments. Also left off the context. pic.twitter.com/4zRyjyYWw5

Lean Forward … right off the cliff.

really awesome that everyone's running with this clip one day after we all rightfully called out Fox for mischaracterizing the Eagles, great job everyone, you're top-of-the-line researchers

Update:

Shocker of shockers … the Washington Post left out context, too:

WaPo's story– coincidentally, no doubt!– cuts off Hannity's remarks where the MMFA video does. Again, this is leaving off very important context that they would've caught if they went to the actual source. https://t.co/gmEZolS9A0 pic.twitter.com/yYTBBa0o1U

It’s almost as if the MSM sucks at journalism!
