OOPS. Democrats tried to 'gut' the Office of Congressional Ethics in 2010, where was the outcry then?

This tidbit likely falls in the “do as we say, not as we do” column that Democrats LOVE to fall back on.

All day today (and yesterday), the Left has been bellowing and bleating about Republicans voting to do away with the Independent Ethics Committee aka the Office of Congressional Ethics.

You’d think the Democrats would applaud this action, considering they tried to do the same thing in 2010.

Isn’t it convenient how Democrats suddenly give a damn about ethics?

Oh, and when Democrats want to do it they say curtail, when Republicans do it they call it GUTTING.

So dramatic.

And the Democrats repeatedly tried to do it, and failed. Cue the Left to insist this is different because the GOP actually got it done. It’s not our fault we actually accomplish things at which they fail.
