Fresh off their parody of Obama’s Bergdahl trade, MAD took a shot at Hillary.

#HillaryIsSoPoor: How poor is she?

  • drw

Geesh, and I though the original cast was homely.

    • Michelle ✓classified

The cast of Two Broke Girls homely? Your standards askeer me.

      • Walter Sobchak

Is Two Broke Girls the one with the Amazonian hottie Kristin Johnson? Cuz she is one gigantic, sexy girl.

        • eick74

Nope, Kristen Johnson is currently staring in The Exes on TV Land.

      • drw

Anyone who has to wear that much makeup to feel “pretty” has to be covering up something horrible. Even as thick as they trowel it on, it doesn’t change the basic shape and there’s a whole bunch of asymmetry going on in both of them. Not to mention the disproportions of the rest of them. I’d have gladly left either one of them standing by the punch bowl at the High School dance (a hundred or so years ago).
But don’t be askeerd, Mary Anne was much prettier than Ginger and I always favored Betty over Wilma.

        • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

          I dig your angle…Brunettes over Blondes/Redheads…Doesn’t matter much to me… Jawamax 8<{D}

    • Maryland_Malcontent

You’re not alone in that. Time stands still when that show comes on, if you know what I mean.

      shudder

      • drw

Time may stand still but, the remote doesn’t.

        • Maryland_Malcontent

          Mercifully.

Every time I see the leads on TBG I’m reminded about that old saying about “sometimes you have to double bag…”

          • drw

A blast from the past, appropriate.

    • Archer305

The low cut shirt almost made me vomit.

    • J. C. Smith

Nonconcur. The show sucks (IMHO) but not because of the cast’s appearance.

      • drw

Eye of the beholder, as they say.

Bwahahaha spot on William! Before I saw this from you, I was thinking of Hillary having a part on Mel’s Diner. Great minds and all…

          Desperate Housewife.

          • Al’s Annoyed Grandpa

I like that. It’s an accurate description of her belief that she is entitled to the Presidency and it is an insult to her choice to not be a stay-at-home Mom.

          • mrspinky85

Well, most housewives know how to balance a checkbook. Her saying she was broke or had bad times only reiterates how bad she is with money. But, we are suppose to be impressed.

Yep, I stopped reading MAD mag after surviving puberty, but their latest shots across the bow are making me LOL!

    • Michelle ✓classified

I honestly had no idea they were still in existence. I loved their fold the page in half to see a different image thingy. This shot at Hillary is hilarious.

      • H50 ✓RAT

        Its just delicious.

        • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Two women who enjoyed a humor magazine when they were little girls– as did I, as a little boy– no wonder we all turned out so warped. Maybe Fredric Wertham had something there?

            What me worry?

          • H50 ✓RAT

I prerfer to think of us as glorious, productive adults with quirky senses of humor.

          • therealguyfaux ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

For those of us who really paid attention, it pointed us in the direction of that feature they used to do occasionally on the Letters page, “MAD ESP,” where they would take something they predicted in jest, apparently coming true with no sense irony on the part of whoever did it. They’d say, we’d wish we don’t have to be right, like this.

We look at Obama, Hillary et al, and think, “They’ll probably do something like XYZ,” they’ll do it, and we’ll wish we hadn’t been right in such an instance. (To be distinguished from Paul Krugman, who wishes he didn’t have to be “right” about everything– not that he wishes it didn’t happen, just that he’s embarrassed about his always being “right.”)

          • H50 ✓RAT

            Forgot about that ESP column.

Might have been a little over my head at the time, or my teenage hormones clouded my brainpower……I dunno.

  • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

Love the condescending, “I gave up MAD when I was, like 12” comments. Yeah, the lefties are way too sophisticated for such low-brow wit. More likely someone has to explain it to them and they can’t find anyone in their inner circle who understands it themselves.

    • RKae

They can’t just look at the joke; must knock the source!

Good God! Can’t they just say, “Hey, that’s funny!” and get on with their day?

      • Acethepug

No. No they cannot. Mockery is for the OTHER side, you see. The Left absolutely HATES being mocked, it’s beneath them.

two thirds of the circulation, compared to “TIME”…

And a few seem to forget Bill’s income and benefits as a former US President:

The retirement benefits received by former Presidents include a pension, Secret Service protection, and reimbursements for staff, travel, mail, and office expenses. The Presidential pension is not a fixed amount, rather it matches the current salary of Cabinet members (or Executive Level I personnel), which is $191,300/year as of March, 2008 (but see “Salary Info” section above for advice on how to track increases in this figure).

        • MyrmidoNOT

hideous ideologue…which I suspect has the
most nefarious plans (for what is left, of our Republic).

          Other than that…!?!?

PIAPS ‘adds’ a whole ‘nuther dimension…
to the ballad: ‘Stand by your man.’

PS: And I apologize for the use of the word ‘man’…
and to the great Tammy Wynette. Really sorry.

  • Donny Zunker

Is there some way we can force Hillary and Bill into retirement?
IF she is allowed to remain on the public stage, 20 years from now, she will be writing her memoirs again, telling the world how she was sworn into office, while dodging sniper fire… while seriously in debt… worried about doing she hair daily… unsure if the pantsuit she was planning on wearing was in the closet of the NY mansion or in the closet of the DC mansion…
There outta be a law…. when your 15 minutes are up, it’s up and your gone!

Yeah, well, if the whole presidential campaign thing doesn’t work out, she could pitch a new sitcom to the Hollywood execs that are her idolaters to make ends meet: “Everybody Hates Hillary.” It would be sure to be a smash hit.
