So, how ’bout those tolerant, peaceful Chick-fil-A protesters?

Just hours before the Left’s scheduled Chick-fil-A “kiss-in,” vandals defaced a Los Angeles county Chick-fil-A, painting the words “tastes like hate” in large black letters on the exterior of the building. Behold the tolerance:

The graffiti has already been painted over.

https://twitter.com/jstrevino/status/231409659213406210

You know what else tastes like hate? Harassing a young woman working at Chick-fil-A and shutting down a Chick-fil-A restaurant with a bomb threat.

Also? Leftist tolerance bullies celebrating the vandalism:

Remind us: how much vandalism was there at all those hateful, intolerant Tea Party events?

Update:

Hollywood artist Manny Castro has taken credit for the vandalism.

Who knew hate was so tastey?

    • TJCrane_NCC1701

And it doesn’t taste like dog !

  • Shawn Smith

I just have to say, I called it. We’ll see how bad this gets, and how entirely the mainstream media ignores it. As I said before, 50 CFAs could be burned to the ground and all NBC would talk about is a “peaceful display of love”.

  • vphilly

To paraphrase someone else, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches taste great because their secret ingredient is liberal outrage.

    • prlgrl

My dad made the same comment on Wednesday.

    • jimmyjimmy

Geroge Wallace and Bull Connor used to call it “Liberal Outrage” too, now we just call those guys ignorant racists. Kind of like what people will think of you 20 years.

      • https://twitter.com/AlessaRosewater Maria

        Your tears, they sustain me.

      • USMCLM

Connor and Wallace were the precursors to the modern Dems and liberals. The speech and tactics are the same.

      • usaman

Hey Jimmy, here is where your argument becomes an epic fail. The difference between Wallace and Conner and the owner of Chick-Fil-A? Conner and Wallace were government officials. CFA is a PRIVATE COMPANY and has no legislative authority. Nice try though.

  • Postbackxp

That would be a nice sign just change it to Tast good with the Cow painting it.
    Or it taste like Chicken.

  • lillymckim

Tastes like Freedom of Speech but the haters choose vandalism?
    They lose!

  • bkeyser

So when someone asks, “What’s HATE taste like?” one should reply “Chicken.”

    • Grandma HeadInjury

And when someone asks “What does CHICKEN taste like?” I’ll point and say “I don’t know, ask the gay guy….”

      • bkeyser

I’m assuming you were going for “clever”. You missed.

The LGBT Nazis are not helping their cause, every time they display their intolerance and hatred against anyone that doesn’t capitulate, it only makes me dislike them a little bit more.

    • Pepper Turnblad

Wow, you clearly have no idea what’s going on. You can’t get more nazi-esque than trying to push your religious beliefs into our government, and discriminate against minorities. Get a clue you racist airhead.

      • chilifrog

Go look at my reply to your other comment below. Name calling is not tolerance, it’s childishness. And that goes for both sides. Grow up.

      • Brian Bennett

Pepper, you can’t see because you are blinded by your own agenda. The hatred has been, time and time again, on the side decrying hatred!

        • Pepper Turnblad

You have no clue what I’m about or what my agenda is, or if I even have an agenda. You can’t just put everyone in a box

          • Botzilla

Any yet you put everyone posting anything different than you into a box…lol

Really?mi thought I was responding individually.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_GORKGESSR3JOMY3YDKTDEHEXYI Steve F

Pepper – you have it wrong. No one on the right is trying to push any beliefs INTO the government. It is the LGBT that is trying to push THEIR beliefs into the government.

        • Pepper Turnblad

Omg really? I’m talking about people pushing for a federal ban on gay marriage. That means they’d amend the constitution. Are gays trying to get a ban on heterosexual marriage? No, I really don’t think so. You all seem way too proud of your ignorance.

          • BruceMichaelGrant

Dingbat. you can’t BAN something that didn’t exist in the first place. The Constitution has no position on gay marriage so ‘amending’ it accomplishes nothing. (Who’s spoonfeeding you this swill? Your sociology teacher?)
And affirming traditional marriage is just that…affirmation. It’s intolerant low-rent morons like those who would vandalize and send bomb threats to those who merely disagree with them who spin and deceptively twist an ‘affirmation’ into a ‘ban’.

          • jimmyjimmy

Ding bat? I thought you sounded like Archie Bunker, thanks for confirming. Ignorance and bigotry are not a virtue.

            Thank you Bruce

          • Maurizme

Look – all that the owner of Chick-Fil-A did was state his beliefs. They ran contrary to the LGBT, so now they cry “hate.” It is also hateful to vilify those who do not believe as you do. And yes, Steve is correct. LGBT is pushing their agenda into law and, in some cases, overriding the will of the people (California, Proposition 8). It actually isn’t racism you’re decrying because gays are not really a “race”. I would like to see the states have a dialog about what the PEOPLE call marriage – not some political, federal government edict about what it is.

          • LA24687

GET A CLUE PEPPER! FROM A GAY MAN! IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE LAW YOU USE THE LAW TO CHANGE IT- THIS SORT OF CRIMINAL ACT IS JUST THAT! THIS IS IDENTICAL TO WHAT TOOK PLACE AFTER PROP 8 PASSED AND GLBT’S TRASHED THE CITY OF WEST HOLLYWOOD AND LDS CHURCH IN WEST LA! YOU CHANGE LAWS AT THE BALLOT BOX- THIS DOES NOTHING OTHER THAN CAUSE CAY MEN LIKE MY SELF TO TURN A BLIND EYE TO OUR OWN COMMUNITY! The owner of this company has a right to fee as he does- but that is all that is all it is- his belief! Do a google search on how many other American companies have similar if not identical beliefs-what next? we burn them down? The people who did this are gay nazis! They are thugs-crimianls! They need to be treated as such. Yesterday, I spent 50.00 at my local CFA, we bought lunch for the whole office-I by no means am ignorant-I know that money could have went to Aids Project Los Angeles- insted I spent it at CFA-get a clue! You are hurting your own cause

Thank you John Smith. I am not gay and do not support Gay Marriage, but I do support if you support it that’s your right. All this hate is rediculous. I am a Christian and Conservitive, but do support your right to be gay. Once again Thank you.

Marriage is regulated at the state level. Get your constitutions right.

          • Socko7

Perhaps you should go and live in a Muslim country with sharia law and see how long you would last. That would make you realize how good you have it here.

      • Botzilla

How about everyone that believes in traditional marriage starts vandalizing businesses owned by LGBT owners, lets throw in some boycotts too, run them out of business. Provide any examples where chik-fil-a refused service to anyone in the LGBT community, you cant. Just because their religious beliefs do not fall in line with your twisted “everyone’s a victim” ideology doesn’t mean that they hate those they disagree with.

And its homophobe, not racist you dipshit.

        • Pepper Turnblad

You have the rigt to boycott whatever you’d like. When did I say they refused service to gays? Do u know what this is about? Im not against chick fil a, they have every right to believe what they want. I’m against these conservatives using them to push their agenda. Now chick fil a is caught in the middle of all this ugliness and you have only yourselves to blame. And a homophobe is a racist. It’s the same thing. Faggot

          • Botzilla

This is about a small segment of the population not getting their way, I don’t care what or who you marry personally , but i have taken a side based on the militant practices of you whiners. Anyone who doesn’t fall into line is attacked. Please keep up with the vandalism and attacks, it seems to be working. lol

          • Pepper Turnblad

I don’t whine and I’ve never been a victim. Everyone deserves equality no matter how small you think their group is.

          • Botzilla

Then you also need to respect that not everyone has the same opinion as you and that when people show up to support this business its because they disagree with the tactics being used, Not because they hate a particular group of people.

          • Pepper Turnblad

Really? Because I’ve been called a nazi whiny crybaby bully, have been told I have a mental disorder similar to a drug addict, and have been told to marry a woman. That sure sounds like hate and bigotry to me.

          • Botzilla

Well you have thrown out racist, idiot, faggot, am I missing any?

          • Pepper Turnblad

How would you feel if people were rallying to show their hatred of who you are? Think I’m gonna stay silent? No, I’m not.

          • Botzilla

The hatred is a figment of your imagination, its about people with agendas bullying those that have a different opinion, don’t like the way things are , then work to change it but doing what you are doing is pushing people away, all they see is the threats and intimidation. The silent majority is finally sticking up for themselves, not quite the response you were hoping for huh?

          • Miami_Son

Everyone? How about the pedophiles? Or the bestiality lovers? I mean if aberrant sexual persuasion is due equality, why leave them out? Homos are not the same as ethnic minorities.

          • S_O_T_A

Stupid comment. Everybody has equality since everybody has the same access to marriage as anybody else.

Marriage is between a man and a womanANDeverybody is a man or a womanTHEREFOREeverybody has the same access to one half of the equation as much as anybody else.

            Stop twisting the issue.

          • usaman

and that small segment was not the millions lined up for hours outside the Chick-Fil-A stores

          • ceyanne

Faggot, huh? You say that like it’s an insult. But I thought you loved
gays and they were all cool and everything. So why would you throw
that term out as an insult? Hypocrite much? And exactly HOW is a
homophobe a racist? When did gay become a freakin’ race?

          • Maurizme

Your message is so mixed it can be called a martini.

        • http://www.facebook.com/ROBBCORLESS Robb Corless

          Well said…

        • Ladybarg

Absolutely!! Disagreeing with someone is NOT HATE!! I don’t like gay parades any more than I liked my children having to witness two heterosexuals involved in heated kissing in a fast-food parking lot. Equally disgusting. I do appreciate gays taking an old neighborhood full of run-down houses and restoring their beauty. I appreciate the kindness of gay neighbors. Sit back and take an honest look.

      • Guest

Can’t get more Nazi-esque? Sure you can. You can be like the original Nazis, who were mostly homosexuals.

        • Pepper Turnblad

They killed homosexuals in the holocaust. Where do you get the idea that nazis were homosexuals? Do you think Jews are nazis too?

          • Grandma HeadInjury

            Oh snap! Turnbad is owned!

      • catholic_citizen

Really? So harrassing the innocent, destroying or vandalizing private property, and threatening to take an innocent act of affection and turn it into a tool of intimidation and defiance is acceptable to you?

I don’t like Planned Parenthood, and when I can, I will not support them with my business. You don’t see people like me demanding that the government shut them down and drive them from our midst.

You know, you want to see thug-like, brownshirt tactics – take a look at the occupy kiddies in Oakland. That had a whole Kristallnacht kinda look and feel to it. By comparision, take a look at the tea party rallies. They had clean up committees. Sight better than defecating in planters in the Wisconsin State House or on the sidewalks and alleys of Manhattan.

Take your vapid comments that are designed to shock and shame people into silence and peddle them somewhere else. It’s becoming more and more apparent how intolerant the left is – from top to bottom.

        • Pepper Turnblad

I’m not the left wing. I’m one person who only represents myself. And I am a thug and I do believe in thug tactics. If blood needs to be shed to get these nice folks the rights they deserve then so be it. So i guess I’m not a liberal, am I?

          • catholic_citizen

Actually you are. Look at the occupy blac bloc nuts. Or the SEIU thugs. Or perhaps Bill Ayers and his merry band of arsonists, murderers, and terrorists.

How does Chick fil A deny homosexuals anything? They get served there – even when they go in and demand free water. Employees at one store actually took trays of lemonade out to protesters because it was 95 degrees. Oh, yeah, these Chick-fil-a people are so dangerous, pepper.

Opposing gay marriage is perfectly acceptable. Welcome to America. People like you aren’t running the show – and you never will.

          • Pepper Turnblad

I’m not against chick fil a. I’m against putting a federal ban on gay marriage. So this really is irrelevant. And yes people like me will be running the show someday because my sister works in the Washington and will be the president some day. And people will be free to love who they love.

          • S_O_T_A

Ummmm, please explain to me how homosexual sex is ‘love’ since everybody has a mother and father and human bodies are made for the opposite sex? Looks like you have failed basic biology.

          • http://twitter.com/gretschdad gretschdad

            you’re made for a goat.

          • disqus_CR25ev2Z1s

So you admit that you will use violence to get your way. Who’s really the Nazi here? Do you think Christians and conservatives should be rounded up and shot because of their beliefs? Don’t you realize that if you allow this to happen, it might backfire on you if a group unsympathetic to you gets political power?

If we don’t protect individual rights, no one will have them. Take a look at what is happening to gays and lesbians in the Middle East. Gays and lesbians should be MORE vigilant about preserving individual rights than anyone else.

          • BruceMichaelGrant

Oh, you’re a perfect liberal. You think someone who merely disagrees with a liberal deserves death.
Let me know which Chick-fil-a you’re planning to protest. If it’s anywhere in southern California or Arizona, I’ll do my best to show up and give you the opportunity to ‘shed’ my ‘blood’. Of course you won’t because you’re a spineless cowardly trash-talking internet badass punk.

          • http://twitter.com/gretschdad gretschdad

And you? keyboard coward, shit talker.

This from the guy proporting to be a father of a daughter that just posted about female bodily fluids. Perfect.

          • catholic_citizen

The degree of respect I am willing to accord you is limited – I have little tolerance for people who use vulgarities as the linchpin of their statements – it truly does demonstrate a limited intellect.

I challenge you to provide any evidence of a complaint from private property owners or a municipality after a Tea Party event. Good luck.

On the other hand, the Occupy Orgy camps were racking up quite the bill – this from an 27OCT11 article from ABC.com:

“We know for a fact we’ve crossed the $300,000 threshold in terms of money spent so far for this operation,” said Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.
In San Francisco, the bill is more than $100,000.

“It’s just something that has to happen, it’s a worldwide movement,” said protester Dustin Sneed, who has been at the San Francisco protest since the beginning.
Across the country, the figures are growing. In New York City, overtime costs are $3.4 million. In Minneapolis, the sheriff’s department reports spending $200,000. And in Boston, the tally is $2 million and counting.”

Now you find something that shows me the cleanup costs of a tea party event. Can you?

And again with the internet courage – please. We are a nation of laws – and always will be. So take your black bloc posturing and go back to lurking your OWS forums and let the grownups make arguments using something besides profanity and empty threats.

Religious beliefs were the cornerstone of our Country and our democracy when it was founded…. ‘In God We Trust’…’God-given rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”. Freedom OF Religion..(.not freedom FROM religion). Any of that ring a bell? And how exactly does that discriminate against minorities?

      • smith

You clearly have no idea that the First Amendment, Freedom of Religion and Freedom of conscience are civil right as well In which it is looking like the LGBT wants to fight against rather then for gay rights.

      • http://www.facebook.com/ShepardRyan Ryan Shepard

You just proved his point, just because you don’t like what he said then you call it ignorance and then bring up something totally irrelevant

      • FGCU_James

No, it is you who does not have any idea what is going on.

The issue is not that Christians hate gay people. Very few hate gay people, and those, I would not refer to them as Christians.

The vast majority of Christians don’t have an opinion, and those that do are of the mindset that gay couples should absolutely be afforded the same legal, financial, etc., benefits that traditional married couples are. That is accomplished through civil unions.

The issue arises because gay people wish to redefine the Christian view of marriage, for the sole reason of their not agreeing with the Christian view of a traditional marriage.

I’m terribly sorry that you do not agree with my beliefs regarding marriage, but that is not my problem. It also does not give you the right to forcibly change my beliefs through the government.

Furthermore, there is no “federal amendment banning gay marriage”. Nor is there any such process in Congress (FYI, you can’t amend the Constitution with just an act of Congress, it is a lot more involved). I would suggest that in the future, you leave such ridiculous claims where you got them: in the garbage can.

      • Botzilla

How many people killed because they were not Christian? I suppose you would have to go back to the crusades or did you read something on Huffington post? As for gay bars bombed, you’re not talking about in the US are you, could you provide proof of any gay bar bombed by Christians?

Aren’t you trying to change the Constitution to suit your sexual preferences? There still has been no absolute, scientific proof that homosexuality is an unalterable, genetic trait.

Many of us believe it’s still a mental disorder, as it was once diagnosed by the American Psychiatric Association. It doesn’t mean that you’re crazy, but that you have self-destructive tendencies similar to an alcoholic or drug addict.

        • Pepper Turnblad

No. I’m not trying to change the constitution. I believe in freedom of religion, not freedom of christianity. Many people also believe that women are less than men and that blacks and white shouldn’t get married, these people are known as bigots. Youre just so scared of what you don’t understand, enlighten yourself. And if you really need some scientific proof that I exist I can come to your house and punch you in your face, I promise you will believe in my existence when I break your nose.

          • Botzilla

Someone makes a point and you threaten them with violence, is it sinking in yet how you are going about this the wrong way? and please don’t threaten me, I will take you up on it and you wont like the end result.

You didn’t make a point, you just stated your bigotry. I would definitely like the results. I am a firm believer in violence, and a firm believer that you won’t like getting yr ass beat by a queer.

If those who support Chick-Fil-A are hate mongers, does that mean that those who verbally harass Chick-Fil-A employees and vandalize their property are the ones full of compassion? Well, I’m sure to leftists it does taste like hate, but that’s not because of Chick-Fil-A or its culture, it’s because their mouths are perpetually full of it. Everything tastes like hate when you’re a liberal.

    • Pepper Turnblad

Wow you’re a complete idiot. Not all gay people are liberals. Some of us just want equal rights.

      • chilifrog

So…you don’t currently have equal rights? Do you have to use the gay bathroom, drink from the gay fountain or sit in the back of the bus? What isn’t equal in your life? I’m just curious. I have a gay aunt & she’s never experienced any discrimination for her sexual preference. I’m not sure how y’all aren’t equal. I’ve had people give me examples, yet there isn’t anything that doesn’t already have a solution. Also, it doesn’t help if you join in on the childish name-calling. How can any of us have open, honest discussions if we resort to that?

        • Pepper Turnblad

Um. We’re fighting for the right to get married and fighting against those who want to federally ban gay marriage. Gay people can’t get married, that’s the inequality here.

          • chilifrog

So that’s it? You just want what the hereros have? Why? You can’t procreate, so…what’s the reason for marriage? Why not just a legal union? It’s your way or no way? I don’t see the tolerance or compromise here.

          • Pepper Turnblad

I definitely can procreate. Yes, it’s equal rights or civil war fool.

          • catholic_citizen

With 3 to 5% of the population? Really? Again with the call to insurrection. This is so very adult of you.

You want persecution? Go to Egypt and tell them you are a Christian. Thank you ‘Arab Spring’ – the cause celebre of liberals and freethinkers throughout this nation.

          • Pepper Turnblad

I live in America. And I love it. And I would never tell anyone I’m Christian because that would be a lie.

          • catholic_citizen

I’ll pray for you anyway. Someone with that much venom in your heart surely does need all the prayer people can offer.

          • Pepper Turnblad

And there is much more than 5 percent.

          • catholic_citizen

“Gates’ best estimate, derived from five studies that have asked subjects about their sexual orientation, is that the nation has about 4 million adults who identify as being gay or lesbian, representing 1.7 percent of the 18-and-over population.”

This is from an article and Professor Gates is the resident demographer of the “Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation Law and Public Policy, a think tank based at the University of California, Los Angeles.”

And I didn’t get this from the Blaze or Fox News – I got it from one of what I am quite sure you consider to be a reliable source – HuffPo.

So you are correct, Pepper – I apologize. It’s not 3% – it’s less then two percent of all adults.

You know a lot of people live in Washington – almost none of them get to be president. What do you think they take turns or something? There’s a city-wide lottery?

Sheesh. Go puff up your purple troll hair – you bore me.

          • https://twitter.com/AlessaRosewater Maria

That would be selfish to start a civil war over this. We have more things to focus on in this country like feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, getting the economy back on track, getting better government/less government, getting more jobs..etc. I am so sick of people whining over some simple wording…civil union..marriage. Grow up! Maybe NO ONE should be allowed to marry if this crap continues.

          • BruceMichaelGrant

            ‘Civil war’? Liberals? Bring it.
You loser twits couldn’t operate anything more complicated than a B.O.B. or more dangerous than a Prius.

Oh brother. You wanna get married? find someone of the opposite sex and GET married. You’re allowed to get married, just not to someone of the same gender. I’m straight and I can’t get married to someone of the same gender either. I don’t see any discrimination here. ;p

          • Pepper Turnblad

I don’t want to get married, actually. Do you think it’s cute and clever to be homophobic? Are you in middle school?

          • http://profile.yahoo.com/CQQVASNHUHM7X4M3LLN7WI74DA meru

Oh look who’s throwing the hate card now? Seriously. The moment you start with the personal insults is the moment I stop taking you seriously.

          • Pepper Turnblad

What personal insult? What hate? I asked an honest question. If you’re going to spew hate, don’t be so upset when someone questions you about it.

          • http://profile.yahoo.com/CQQVASNHUHM7X4M3LLN7WI74DA meru

The thing is I didn’t spew hate. You did for calling me a homophobe. I am in no way afraid of gays so you’re wrong and you’re trying to get out of a lie. Try rereading your posts to me. ^_^ Have a nice day.

          • S_O_T_A

haha! Personal insults! ‘Homophobe’! ‘Bigot’! ‘Intolerant’!

Sure beats constructing an argument, eh, Pepper?

          • https://twitter.com/AlessaRosewater Maria

            Then I’ll throw around heterophobe.

          • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

You actually can get married. What you and others want to do is to change the legal definition of what a marriage is. At least be honest.

          • Pepper Turnblad

No. That’s not the case. Sorry

          • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

It is absolutely true that you could marry someone of the opposite sex, in all 50 states right now. So you “can” get married. You don’t like the definition of marriage and want to have it legally changed. You may not like that statement, but denying it makes it no less true.

          • Pepper Turnblad

I’m not trying to change anything. I’m against amending the constitution to ban gay marriage. I’m supporting tradition by being against changing the constitution, to suit one religion. How much more tradition could I be?

          • carmijok

One religion? Are you forgetting the Muslims? Not real gay friendly AT ALL. Care to take them on?

          • BruceMichaelGrant

That’s crap. The constitution has nothing to do with gay marriage so amending it accomplishes nothing. How dumb can liberals be?

          • Maurizme

There is no amendment – I don’t think the feds are pushing for a ban against gay marriage, but a definition stating what marriage is. I take it you do not like the fact that that definition does not include man and man or boy, woman and woman or girl, dog and cat, dog and woman or man, or other such combinations. Marriage in many cultures is a marriage when children result from the relationship. Depends on exactly what you mean when you say marriage. Since states determine the age at which one may marry, they probably should define what marriage is.

          • BruceMichaelGrant

Yes it is. That’s the endgame of the militant gay movement. They want to rub gay marriage, gays in the military, gays in the church and gays sucking up taxpayer spouse benefits in all our faces.
They aren’t interested in merely enjoying the legal freedom of civil unions. No, they won’t rest until they’ve forced every one of us to give their fringe dysfunctional lifestyles the moral sanction of normality.
Intimidation, misinformation, vandalism and blatant judicial dictatorship are specific and well-used tactics in this cause.

          • Cliff_Skridlow

They CAN’T be honest – that would reveal the TRUE agenda – having the government FORCE everyone to consider homosexuality “NORMAL.” Which, of course, it isn’t, even my gay friends and relatives admit. They are good people, and I don’t wish them any harm (which they know that I don’t.) What they DON’T agree with, is the In-Your-Face tactics of the liberal militant left. They have told me they consider it an embarrassment.

          • http://www.facebook.com/georgie.porgie.39395 Georgie Porgie

Fighting for your rights by making out at Chick-Fil-A? How bout you go march on Washington DC out in front of Obama and see what he does for you? Oh that’s right 4 years in office and not a darn thing! Where is the outrage? Where is the “kiss-in” on Washington?

All these fools running their mouths about “tastes like hate,” people directing their anger/outrage at Dan Cathy, vandalizing buildings that belong to franchise owners trying to make a living supporting their families, and celebrities running their mouths about Mitt Romney, what has your President done for you? Why aren’t any of you tweeting about how he has let you down? Isn’t he for gay marriage now since he is no longer against it? Why aren’t you demanding your rights from him? What the heck is Dan Cathy going to do for you? He just makes chicken. And darn good chicken at that!

          • https://twitter.com/AlessaRosewater Maria

Heh, if I lived near a Chick-Fil-A, I would drag my husband down there and make out in front of the “kiss in” demonstrators! I’m sure they would hate that..a woman showing love for her husband.

          • S_O_T_A

Anybody can marry, but you just don’t like the definition of it so you want to force that revised definition on others. Find someone of the opposite sex, unrelated, old enough, and also unmarried, and you’re in. Stop twisting the argument.

        • Rachael Rasin

we also can not have say in a life or death situation of our spouses
because our marriage is not viewed as legal even though we have the same marriage certificate as 2 straight people…we also have problems carrying our significant other on our health insurance through our jobs…we cant collect death benefits to help pay for our spouses funeral if something were to happen….that some examples of not having equal rights!!!

          • Pepper Turnblad

Glad there is someone smarter than me to explain what’s really important here.

          • A Willful Boy

You can have a say. Its called an ‘advance healthcare directive’, or ‘living will’. You can name your siblings, kids, S.O., friend, anyone! I don’t have power of my wife’s life-or-death situation, because she chose not to burden me with those decisions. The same goes for life insurance; you can specify someone other than your hetero spouse as your beneficiary.

You have revealed what this is all about, though: extra benefits! When you learn the difference between a right and a benefit, feel free to construct a new argument.

          • $21590057

Not true in the least. You can sign a medical power of attorney for anyone to make decisions for you when you’re incapacitated. I did a long time ago when I was living with a long-term boyfriend.

If you can’t add your SO to your insurance, that is an issue you have with your employer. Your employer decides the benefits it will offer. I’ve known people who could add anyone to their health policy, because their employer allowed them to add on other person, no matter relationship.

You can’t collect death benefits? You’ll have to be more specific there. I’ve never heard of a life insurance company telling a customer they can’t choose any beneficiary they want. If you didn’t know you could do that, are you sure you should be out in public unescorted?

      • S_O_T_A

You have equal rights. What you want is approval from everybody for something the human body is not meant for. And because you can’t get it voluntarily you want to force people to approve via the law!

  • chilifrog

Yeah, see that’s selective editing done to make a knowingly false case. You know how we know that? We don’t see how the woman wound up clinging to the man’s legs like a wrestler obviously trying to shove him to the ground. We can hear the people supposedly assaulting the woman telling someone to “call the cops”,which tells me she started it.All we get is the woman’s side of the story,i.e.,lying by omission. But you know what the most glaring thing about this supposed Tea Partier assault is? It is described as a “Rand Paul Supporter Stomps on A Woman’s Head”,but what the tape actually shows him doing is restraining her with his foot. Not on her head, but on her upper shoulder area. He is clearly trying to hold her down with his body weight on the back or chest area, but confused about which side to pick, so he holds her down by putting pressure on her side, which wouldn’t have even been effective if he was really trying to hurt her.She could have escaped that position at any time. My take is she assaulted him, he restrained her while people on both sides, but mainly the Tea Party side called for someone to get the cops. But I can’t tell one way or the other, because whoever uploaded this video tellingly edited out the beginning of the altercation.

  • Maurizme

Nice job of causing damage to another’s property – that’s not exactly stellar behavior, is it? And who’s behavior are they protesting? Sounds like the people that can graffiti the wall are fairly intolerant, and certainly hateful.

  • George Hardy

I have in the past shopped at some ” gay” establishments.; I had no idea they hated me for who I was and thought and believed. In the future I will think twice before going in to buy something, my feelings might get hurt and my sensibilities would be offended.

  • John Gallagher

Aside from that sentiment being true – they should not have defaced a property – not cool – the gays have to learn that if they are going to get the rights that they deserve – they need to take a less “fabulous” approach and stop with the “fantastic” displays of sillines – dudes and chicks and dudes who look like chicks and chicks who l.ook like dudes – take a Ghandi like approach – show the douchebags out there that you understand their stupidity that they are wrong – understand that they are about as enlightened as your basic septic tank (not much light down there) – stop with the kiss ins and walk hand in hand into a Chik-Fil-A and order up a sandwich while holding hands and maybe giving a grope to each other – THAT’s how you show their faity tale believing ases where they stand :-)

  • http://www.facebook.com/gayle.polis Gayle Polis

We don’t have to do a thing. They’re mocking God. Vengence is mine, I will repay, God says. Jesus would say, Father, forgive them for they know not what they’re doing. God is giving them time to repent; if they don’t, they’ll face HIS wrath. All things will be made right in God’s eyes. Every knee will bow before Jesus Christ. We just have to show them the salvation of the Lord by loving them and telling them the truth. It is up to them to accept HIM. It’s their choice, we hope they make the right one.

I AM A GAY MAN—I HAVE NOT AND WILL NOT CONDONE THIS SORT OF ANIT-FREE SPEECH HATE MONGING THAT MANY IN THE GAY COMMUNITY HAve EMBARKED UPON. The “Pink Nazis” want us all good gays and lesbians to march to the same ol lock step with them and they have been pushing for since gay marriage went down in flames in California in 2008. This is not the first time this has happened- criminal acts of violence like this happened in California in the months leading up to the voting on prop 8…after prop 8 passed GLBT’s from West Hollywood went on a rampage trashing the city and LDS chuch in West Los Angeles. Just to make my position known,,, Because of this utter lack of respect for the law in our nation, I have STOPPED ALL MONEY GOING TO ALL GAY ORGANIZATIONS I once donated too, I no longer donate any of my time to any gay organization…i once took my horses to Gay Pride in West Hollywood-that has stopped! Until the gay community grows up, this is how it will be. I even try not to spend money in gayborhood. The person (s) who did this should be put in jail! The way I see it…the gay community needs me and my money a whole lot more than I need them! In fact, I just may vote REPUBLICAN this time around simply because I have come to loath my own community so much in recent years. GROW UP PEOPLE!

If anyone needs to be portrayed as HATEFUL – it needs to be the media. They are the hatemongers who blow comments out of proportion, turn them into hate and spew that upon the people. In America we have Freedom of Religion. Marriage started as a Religious union or ceremony. It has since become a legal union that the government regulates and requires paperwork for. So essentially – as I see it – and JUST MY OPINION – there are really 2 types of marriage in our society – Biblical and Legal. If ANYONE wants to get married – LEGALLY – they should be allowed. Why? Because there is SUPPOSED to be a separation of Church and State. But on this issue – there isn’t. And yes, I am a Christian and I believe that none of us has the right to judge another person. There’s only one supreme judge and I, nor are any of us, God. Just because someone Loves another person, it doesn’t make them Evil. And just because someone BELIEVES in something that you don’t – it doesn’t make them Evil. We have a right to believe what we want – some countries don’t. If you want your government to think for you – you can go live somewhere else. To the LGBTQ community – just like the women of this country had to fight to have rights, sometimes you just need to keep pursuing it. But don’t be hateful about it. There’s proof that persistence pays off. Grace and Peace…
